You learn something new every day — 39 Comments

  1. “Never let a crisis go to waste.”

This is an incredibly efficient administration, on some levels. It just depends on what the goals are. They have goals – they just won’t share them with you and me (i.e. Iran). Six years in now, who still doubts where they will take us if they can? Those of us with imaginations have little doubt, but we’re just a bunch of cranks, neo.

There’s a lot of ruin in a nation, isn’t there? Stick around.

    More to come.

  2. I scratch my head nearly every day over the insanity observed in this country.
A version of insanity LARGELY borne from policies, behaviors, actions, power plays exercised by:
    Progressives
    Leftists
    Socialists
    Liberals
    Democrats
In no way do I mean to suggest or infer that republicans are not complicit in some of the ugliness which is moving through our government/society.
    However——-the Left is LARGELY responsible.
The immigration issue of late (during Obama’s tenure) has literally turned insane. Counter productive. Nonsensical. And—-self-destructive to a society which has mostly been able to control its borders throughout the 250 years we have existed.

  3. Yikes ! with Obama’s Lefties, it s never about the individual human suffering, they are steadfastly
inured to that. (He GOLFED after public acknowledgement of James Foley’s beheading).
It s about *assaulting* institutions & individual people of Faith, & marginalizing THEM & marginalizing
their beliefs. A First Amendment assault actually.
Government demanding THAT you yield this right.
The abortion industry & the rabid female *choice* crowd are allies with them on this. As I have said the only thing liberals are liberal about is pushing promiscuous sex (with free Gov birth control) &
a Gov funded abortion if deemed necessary, otherwise they want to *control* everything else,
from how you operate your business, to what you
speak out on, how much salt is in you food, what school your kids attend, what they are being taught,
and on & on ad infinitum.
PS Neo, the LUTHERAN social services are also providing support for these illegals.

  4. …and I still scratch my head while considering that neoneocon was a self-described Liberal not so long ago.
If we could only ‘bottle’ that which it is/was that changed her perspective, her outlook, her ideas to a more RATIONAL, LOGICAL, REASONED approach to politics and social issues.
If we could only bottle it so as to make it available to others who are inclined to question this administration and what it is doing to diminish and destroy our spirit, our ingenuity, our creative soul as a nation.
Those who consider for just a moment the immense and intense REGULATIONS Obama has instituted to jeopardize economic growth and individual liberty.
A convenient ‘dose’ of reality-based prescription available to those who still have some semblance of common sense deep within themselves. Something to light that fire which has all but extinguished in nearly half our population.
If only we could capture what it was that turned those like neoneocon. And then make it readily available with a marketing campaign to rival the “HOPE&CHANGE” this BOZO in the white house sold in 2008.
    {…SIGH…}

  5. As a devout Catholic, I feel disgust with the “social justice” (what a LOADED term), teachings that have brought about the travesties that are a result of policies and positions that are in direct opposition to love and truth. To the very core, in both the political and religious community, truth has been a casualty–beginning with the manipulation of language and understanding. As Christ said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” I love what Dennis Prager, said a little while back about that statement. “Freedom can never be based upon a lie.”

  6. Neo, I don’t think we need concern ourselves with deportation. Apparently we cannot bring ourselves to deport even those felons who commit repeat crimes.

I do think that self-deportation would have some effect if we could just bring ourselves to enforce the laws on employment, and make welfare available only to those who are actually here legally.

Then of course, we could try to control our borders so as to limit future damage.

I find it somewhat bizarre that the Catholic Church has a “contract” to care for these folks. Lutherans as well? I used to think that churches were about charity, not profit.

This all makes me sick. Don’t know if I mentioned it here, but recently spent 5 days hospitalized here in SoCal. So many caregivers were legal immigrants themselves, or 2nd generation. Many of them had stories of hardship and danger before escape from tyrannical regimes. They have worked hard, have succeeded, and now they give back. We seldom hear about them.

  7. If the Catholic Church can’t fulfill the contract, they shouldn’t take the contract. Moral witness is more important than functioning as an arm of the government. Help where you can but don’t violate your conscience.

  8. Roc scssrs…”Conscience”, “principle”, “truth”, requires thought deeper than acceptance based on the shallow assertions that are routinely (repeatedly) put forth. And acceptance of these shallow assertions puts you in the column of the the “loving, caring and compassionate” group, not the “haters” group. So true that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.” Reality will always manifest, no matter the intentions.

  9. The facilities exist for the Catholic church to provide these services, The kids are dorm ed in old catholic schools, soup kitchens that exist just transfer over to providing meals at the school, classes are taught as
well & there is a playground on site.
I am sure THIS is not done for a huge profit motive
most likely the providers are nuns, who do not demand 6 figure incomes but I am sure they bill Uncle Gov
via the *contract* to use the facilities. How they get available for sexual assault is something else.
Is this being done by other illegals, their fellow travelers or ancillary people like janitors, groundskeepers?
And Francis has given it his blessing saying we just need to *straight up welcome them*
Nothing from Francis about reforming the countries these people escaped from, no, we won t go in to
those oligarch 1% all over So America who need to
reform their lands. Just *flood* the sane countries of the world because *they* have too much in the USA & *they* need to share !

  10. Once again the *concept* of *free people* dose not
resonate with the Left. To them *your rights end*
where every little crybaby’s demands begin.
Of course the *crybaby* has a hard time making his case so the *professional representatives* Pelosi, Cuomo, Obama, Kennedy, Kerry, Clinton, Ginsburg,
Sotomayor, will tell YOU what YOU are REQUIRED to do to address the problem, not SOLVE the problem,
mind you, but address it, so they can keep continually
    working the issue, forever !

  11. Back to Francis, (I had to laugh), He has demanded that the barbers that work in vatican city provide
free hair cuts to the homeless.
( Once again, so steeped in Leftism, *telling others*
what THEY need to do !)
Has it occurred to him THAT these homeless might be
afflicted with lice or bedbugs or MRSA or C Diff.
That may be a through SHOWER & Clean clothes
need to come before a haircut ???
Francis is likeable though I especially liked it when he gave his opinion on gargantuan families,
didn t he say something like, “You don t have to be breeding like rabbits” ! LOL. He seems more practical but sadly a……Lefty !

  12. The parade of horribles would stop if Obama would enforce immigration laws and secure the border.
He is primarily responsible for the act.
Congressional Republicans are secondarily responsible for not stopping it.
We should punish who we can.

  13. What a complete MESS Obama has created with his open borders stunt.

ALL of this can be laid at Obama’s feet, since likely most, if not all, of these children would not be crossing the border “unaccompanied ,” but really, shepherded by bad actors (coyotes, cartels), if they were not explicitly told that America would welcome them with open arms and benefits.

  14. Matt_SE,

That is exactly right. Our President is in violation of his sworn oath (“and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”). And much worse, has flagrantly violated it by bringing in these aliens, etc etc etc.

  15. Molly:

Pope Francis has a bit of a “PR problem”. He has a propensity to speak his mind extemporaneously, somewhat lightly, rather than in a *studied* way. The media abuse this mightily to extract any “handy” statements out of context and portray him in whatever fashion best suits them. At the core his is a *temperament* issue more than a *doctrinal* issue, he has pleasant and spontaneous ways that are an easier target for media “reinterpretation” than the solemn, studied ways of his predecessor. But doctrinally, I am not aware of any novelties.

As to “breeding like rabbits”, that was taken out of context. I watched that entire plane press conference – he was talking about some doctrinal issues regarding Paul VI and the danger of neo-malthusianism. He said that there was no requirement for a Catholic, in order to be a good Catholic, to have children one after another, especially in context of disregard for health concerns for the mother (he brought up the example of a woman he had admonished for being pregnant with her eight after seven C-sections) – that the marital union has to be “open to life” (i.e. NOTHING new doctrinally: the separation of sexuality and procreation is still as off-limits as it has always been, a marriage contracted with an intent to not be open to life is not valid etc.), but that one should advocate responsible parenthood.

He was NOT passing negative judgment on big families (the whole argument was brought up in the context of neo-malthusianism and population control being a BAD thing!).

He was NOT opening doors for contraception (excluded Billings-type natural methods which many Catholic families use), even less for an abortion.

He was also NOT telling any barbers what to do. They volunteered after he had set up an initiative to offer showers and other hygienic necessities to them.

I repeat, the pope has a “PR problem” unfortunately amplified by his likeable, spontaneous temperament which makes him an easy prey.

  16. Anna, I found myself repeatedly feeling irritated about “things the Pope said” and a friend sent me his address to the close of the Synod on the Family, It was EXCELLENT! And so has every other document I’ve read of his direct words. I’ve consigned myself to sticking with those.

  17. Anna, Well the left will interpret him to advance their own agenda, so he either has to realize that will happen or chose to pipe down.

  18. ”There’s something absolutely revolting about every single aspect of this case.”

That include the Catholic Church? It ought. The Church has been in bed with the Dems for a very long time. And all the time they diddled each other under the sheets the Church would cede a bit of the moral high ground for a bit of political influence – to say nothing of losing sight of their mission, the gospels, even Jesus Christ. I swear, the Cardinal of New York has always impressed me as having not much more than the greatest regret at having been a prelate in New York rather than and Irish pol in Boston. Now, with the addition of the imbecile from the Argentine pampas, I have girded myself for a devolution/demolition of my Church — one nearly as fundamentally transforming as what happened to my country.

Neo, I don’t think we need concern ourselves with deportation. Apparently we cannot bring ourselves to deport even those felons who commit repeat crimes.

all you need to do is create a rumor that when the reason to let so many people in to have citizenship is so that when the war starts they can be drafted/conscripted…

they can check in, but wont be able to check out…

that is, if your going to be a citizen, and a war starts, your going to have to die for your country… just look to how many on the left want to start the draft or some form of mandatory service…

  20. Non praevalebunt indeed, but it will be the Holy Ghost that will have saved it from itself, its posturing, equivocalness, and Vatican II-ness.

That the Zeitgeist will not prevail in the long run does not preclude its prevalence in the short. It’s that very dynamic, an example of which is the prevalence of a lavender mob within the Church, that had eroded the Church’s moral high ground to a ditch in which it had become the butt of late night opening monologues.

  21. what part did russia play in these ideas?
what is russia telling people in the southern lands?

It’s time to start worrying about what Russia’s been up to in Latin America March 27 2015

Russian influence is back in Latin America in a big way, along with a “clear return to Cold War tactics.” And it’s happening at a time when the US military admits that it faces a “near-total lack of awareness of threats and the readiness to respond” in the region.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

“Russia has courted Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua to gain access to air bases and ports for resupply of Russian naval assets and strategic bombers operating in the Western Hemisphere. Russian media also announced Russia would begin sending long-range strategic bombers to patrol the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico, in an effort to ‘monitor foreign powers’ military activities and maritime communications.'”

All of this has been building since 2008………..

The US, for its part, is not ready for this incursion, according to the military’s Southern Command.

2014 to see the revival of relations between Mexico and Russia

In 2015, Mexico and Russia will celebrate the 125th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. This is not such a long period; however, during 124 years the countries faced a lot of drastic changes of various types and nature.

Currently, the countries review the possibility to sign the agreement on the visa waiver agreement. The countries have already relaxed visa requirements for Russian citizens. Russians may file online applications for Mexican visas via the Electronic Application System without the need to obtain such visas.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

This means that during the last 5 years, from 2009 to 2013, the number of Russian tourists visiting Mexico went up 828.8% in 2013

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

For the first time in more than six decades, more non-Mexicans than Mexicans were caught by the US Border Patrol attempting to cross the American border in 2014, according to a study by Pew Research Center.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Lunev asserted that some of the hidden caches could contain portable tactical nuclear weapons known as RA-115 “suitcase bombs”. Such bombs have been prepared to assassinate US leaders in the event of war, according to him Lunev states that he had personally looked for hiding places for weapons caches in the Shenandoah Valley are and that “it is surprisingly easy to smuggle nuclear weapons into the US, either across the Mexican border or using a small transport missile that can slip undetected when launched from a Russian airplane

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

it is “likely” that GRU operatives placed “poison supplies near the tributaries to major US reservoirs.” [8] These allegations have been confirmed by former SVR officer Kouzminov who was responsible for transporting pathogens from around the world for Russian program of biological weapons in the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s. He described a variety of biological warfare acts that would be carried out on the order of the Russian President in the event of hostilities, including poisoning public drinking-water supplies and food processing plants

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Russians ‘hid arms caches around Britain’
An intelligence archive made public today contains records of weapons caches hidden around cities across Europe and new details of Melita Norwood, the British woman considered the KGB’s most important female spy

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

In the notes stored at Cambridge’s Churchill Archives Centre, Mitrokhin – who died in 2004 – described the locations in incredible detail along with booby traps.

Describing a stash near Berne, Switzerland, he wrote directions to a chapel near a farm and added: ‘After taking 36 steps, you will be at the point between two large leafy trees, the only ones in the sector.

‘The distance between the trees is three paces… The area between the trees has been used for the cache.’

A map included in the archive pinpointed three sites, named Kollo, Fosso and Bor, around Rome.

And another note provided instructions on how to disarm an explosive booby trap called Molniya or Lightning.

It read: ‘When digging out the container from the earth, take care not to strike the handle by chance.

‘The handle must only be turned and the container tilted and taken out of the hole after the explosive device has been disarmed.’

Some of the caches have since been uncovered…

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

One such cache, which was identified by KGB defector Vasili Mitrokhin, exploded when Swiss authorities fired upon it using a water cannon, resulting in no casualties. The device was found in the woods near Bern

  22. funny that we bring up the catholic church…
after all, bella dodd testified about the many operatives she herself put into the church…

    then again, there is
    Boris Georgiyevich Rotov

Metropolitan Nikodim is said to have participated in negotiating a secret 1960s agreement between Soviet and Vatican officials that authorized Eastern Orthodox participation in the Second Vatican Council in exchange for non-condemnation of atheistic communism during the conciliar assemblies

According to the Mitrokhin Archive, which claimed deep Communist penetration of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Nikodim was a KGB agent, working under the codename “Adamant” whose ecumenical activity with the Roman Catholic Church and the World Council of Churches (WCC) served to further Soviet goals. Ordained in 1960 at the age of 31, the youngest bishop in the Christian world at the time, he would go on to become one of the WCC’s six presidents

and after that, it means nothing…
    a council is a soviet…
so its the world soviet of churches to them

Churches in the United States, including member churches of the World Council of Churches (WCC), have called on the Obama administration to open up a high-level dialogue with Cuba aimed at normalizing relations between the two countries.

oh… so the soviet of churches, led by kgb, urges obama and obama follows his orders… eh?

The World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit congratulated Barack Obama following his re-election as president of the United Sates, wishing him “all the blessings of God’s grace” as he continues work during his second presidential term

World Council of Churches Letter to Obama: ‘Enough’ in Gaza
“To achieve a lasting peace, the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land, including the siege of Gaza, must end. The U.S. must, therefore, make ending the occupation and lifting the Gaza siege priorities for our foreign policy in the region,” reads the letter.

    and so Obama does what?
they also wrote a letter to kerry…

World Council Of Churches And The Urgency Of Climate Change

and what does our administration do?

World Council Of Churches Divests From Fossil Fuels
The World Council of Churches, which represents over 500 million Christians in more than 110 countries, has decided to divest from fossil fuels, reports The Guardian. // The WCC Central Committee, which includes religious leaders from around the world, voted to include fossil fuel companies in the sectors that WCC will not invest in on ethical grounds, according to a statement from 350.org, an international enviromental campaign.

and what does obama intend to do?

World Council of Churches supports gays & intersex

and voila… obama grew in that moment

you can find lots of stuff like this
but why bother? most make up stuff to fit the dialogue and wont look it up. once good sounding false dialogue appears, why would people then look?

  23. Oldflyer:

I find it somewhat bizarre that the Catholic Church has a “contract” to care for these folks. Lutherans as well? I used to think that churches were about charity, not profit.

They are, but even a non-profit needs funds to keep running. What generally happens in these circumstances is that the government offers a contract for providing a certain service (in this case, looking after immigrant children), and the Church, not having to worry about making a profit and often having suitable infrastructure in the area, is able to perform the service for a lower price than other potential contractors. It’s win-win, except when an idiot like Obama comes to power.

    Molly:

Anna, Well the left will interpret him to advance their own agenda, so he either has to realize that will happen or chose to pipe down.

Well, I notice that the rate of Papal interviews slowed considerably after the first two or three.

  24. Oldflyer @11:49 AM-
Sorry to disagree, but legal immigrants working for a living is not “giving back.”
It is called work, not charity, for a reason.

  25. Clarityseeker: Irving Kristol nailed Neo’s conversion years ago with his definition of a neoconservative: “A Liberal who has been mugged by reality.”

Unfortunately, needless to say, Liberals, Lefties and Crypto-Marxist juice consumers are, by nature, mostly unfazed by their occasional exposures to critical thought.

  26. oh. forgot to put up the orders of the WCC for immigration… duh

Migrants are reduced to mere commodities, traded and exchanged in the global market, according to a declaration issued by churches calling for an end to this gross violation of human dignity. The declaration was issued on the occasion of the Second United Nations High Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development (UN-HLD) in New York City, USA.

pretty much every point is aligned with what is going on…

US president names WCC Central Committee member to White House panel

maybe thats why? now, who else has a central committee, and is structured like that, and has kgb members?

Central Committee was the common designation of a standing administrative body of communist parties, analogous to a board of directors, whether ruling or non-ruling in the 20th century and of the surviving states in the early 21st century.

    funny
    russia has a Central Committee
    china has a Central Committee

    here are some more

Central Committee of Fatah (non-Communist – its islamic)
    Central Committee of SWAPO, Namibia
Central Committee of the Communist Party of Russian Federation
Central Committee of the Communist Party of China
Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba
Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union
Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam
Central Committee of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia
Central Committee of the Hungarian Socialist Workers’ Party
Central Committee of the Party of Labor of Albania
Central Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Afghanistan
Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party
Central Committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party
Central Committee of the South African Communist Party
Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea

not to hard for them to disseminate information

Word Council of Churches head meets Russian Patriarch Kirill in Moscow
    just hanging out with Putin…

    then Accuracy in Media
Pope Francis, Jihad, and Moscow’s “Espionage Church”

The Putin visit carries far more significance than a papal document which criticizes free markets and is considered a step toward the possible collaboration–or even merger–of the Roman Catholic Church and the Russian Orthodox Church in global affairs.

Discussions between these churches are already taking place under the rubric of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. The Russian Orthodox Church has been dominated by Putin’s old KGB and continues to serve the interests of the Kremlin.

The document, labeled an “apostolic exhortation” and titled “The Joy of the Gospel,” also purports to describe the nature of global Islam. But these comments, even more controversial than the statements attacking free markets, have been mostly ignored by the press.

“At a time when Christianity worldwide is under siege by Islamic jihadists, the leader of the Catholic Church claims that the Koran teaches non-violence.” pamela geller…

The Vatican’s dealings with Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church also deserve major media attention. David Satter, a former Moscow correspondent, says Patriarch Kirill, head of the Russian Orthodox Church, was exposed by material from the Soviet archives as a KGB agent. “This means he was more than just an informer, of whom there were millions in the Soviet Union. He was an active officer of the organization,” writes Satter.

Former KGB officer Konstantin Preobrazhensky has called the church “Putin’s Espionage Church,” and devotes a major portion of his book, KGB/FSB’s New Trojan Horse, to the topic. “During the Soviet period,” wrote Preobrazhensky, “the Moscow Patriarchate [of the Russian Orthodox Church] bishops were all KGB agents, and the highest of them were also members of the Communist Party.” The FSB is the successor to the KGB.

they are in everything, but never influence anything
which is why we neer mention their influence… right?

In connection with Putin’s visit to the Vatican, Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa, who worked on KGB operations as head of Romanian intelligence, explains the background of what is coming to pass: “On December 5, 2008, Aleksi II, the fifteenth Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, died. He had worked for the KGB under the codename ‘Drozdov’ and was awarded the KGB Certificate of Honor, as was revealed in a KGB archive accidentally left behind in Estonia when the Russians pulled out. For the first time in its history, Russia had the opportunity to conduct the democratic election of a new patriarch, but that was not to be.”

He goes on: “On January 27, 2009, the seven hundred Synod delegates assembled in Moscow were presented with a slate listing three candidates: Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk (a secret member of the KGB codenamed ‘Mikhaylov’); Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk (who worked for the KGB under the codename ‘Ostrovsky’); and Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga (who had the KGB codename ‘Topaz’).”

so… putin runs kirill, who runs the WCC, who has a position in the white house… where we have a president who speaks fluent arabic and russian, and was a red diaper baby… and and and and

    but it means nothing…
which is why we dont bother to even read the press
everything that is related to that stuff, means nothing

“In 1971, the KGB had sent Kirill to Geneva as a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church to that Soviet propaganda machine, the World Council of Churches (WCC). In 1975, the KGB infiltrated him into the Central Committee of the WCC, which had become a Kremlin pawn. In 1989 the KGB appointed him chairman of the Russian patriarchate’s foreign relations as well. He still held those positions when he was elected patriarch.” – Pacepa

oh yeah… Pacepa.. that changer defector.. why read about him
    david mamet has the answers…

  27. Obama’s open border has flooded the country with low skill, low wage workers. The people really hurt by this are young black males who can’t find work. It’s a shame that unions and blacks can’t see it.

  28. Mr. Frank, but charles manson was right, but 30 years to early to start that race war that failed before…

you should realize how the press is coding things, in this case, teens = rampaging black kids… they are beating up the elderly… they are beating up whites… spanish… chinese… destroying property… etc.

they take the place of the Jugend…
    or the Soviet Pioneers…

and now we have the state imposing its ideals on religions who are not part of the reformed socialist organizations running them… like the funky austrian dude, they are attacking businesses..

we dont look to see who their lawyers are and who is paying… we dont notice that russia is heavily involved in every aspect of this… we dont care about the matching history..

we are trying to figure it out from the crumbs
we refuse to look at whats on the table
its either too easy, or its not what we want to hear or know… either way, we ignore it.

when they threaten nuclear war as a just war, and are making the USA to be the 5th reich… perhaps paying attention to the role they are repeating and will mobilize the world to, is a good idea…

    but lets not…
they are involved and in the white house
but they have no influence in our ideas or discourse
this makes our ideas and discourse WORTHLESS
    at best its entertainment..

the real world has these things in place and they have lots of money, the power to assasinate either the reputatoin or the person, people placed in position that took 30 years to develop, and lots and lots of funds to act and pay off and supply

not including them in the assesments and explainations and all that is following the training of our lives!!!!!!!! hard to break from that, eh? hard to say, i dont care if they call me X, i would rather know

    most dont..
and most wont understand whats coming
all they have is the surface, all they have glitters liek gold… they do not learn the underside of it…

sadly, a lot of it is known, when in the past it isnt
but they have learned that if you dont care, they dont need to hide it. do they?

  29. It’s all very planned. Planned Parenthood in America. Planned emigration from second and third-world nations. Planned displacement and replacement of surviving and aborted Americans, respectively. They seem intent to ignore the causes of mass emigration. Perhaps with a hope to change the order to favor their interests.

  30. The various special interests groups (media, ACLU, Catholic Church) involved in the influx of illegals are decidedly secondary to the far more important purpose of Obama’s open borders policy.

Obama has two strategic goals in regard to illegal immigration; ensuring permanent one party leftist rule in America and the transformation of America into a non-white majority society. The first goal’s motivation is ideological, the second goal’s motivation is racism.

    Molly NH,

Of course they want to control everything, it is necessary to their survival. In any socialistic system, eventually ALL thought, speech and behavior must be categorized as either forbidden or mandatory.

“In principle, there are only two fundamental political viewpoints. That is, two contradictory ends of the ‘political spectrum.’ Those two principles are freedom and slavery.” — Mark Da Cunha

“The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.” – Robert A. Heinlein

“Writer Ana Marie Cox argued that “you’re going to have to force people to do things they don’t want to do” in a discussion on Indiana’s RFRA law on Saturday’s “Up with Steve Kornacki” on MSNBC.”

    Artfldgr,

It always comes back to the Russians for you doesn’t it? They’re certainly bad guys but Putin and his cabal are not leading a vast-Marxist conspiracy against the West. Yes, they are paying ‘the great game’ but, as long as our nuclear subs cannot be fully neutralized, the Russians are adamantly opposed to getting into a nuclear war with America. Nor are Western Marxist/Progressives all ‘collectivists’ without individual motivations. Your theories are flawed because they fail to distinguish between theory and the real world of human nature. Marxists are certainly employing their tactics and strategy, ala Alinsky but the Left is not ruled by a collective Russian SPECTRE.

  31. Anyone who believes the story in The Hill is largely factual is being played as a sucker, IMHO.
The opening is “The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is suing the Obama administration for documents it says will show religious organizations are restricting access to abortions for unaccompanied immigrant children.” It says will show, huh!

There is no factual data reported in the story. Allegations are not facts. “Teenagers” are not “children.” Female teenagers traveling long distances thru Mexico expect to be still unbesmirched when reaching the Rio?

I think this is an effort to show the illegal “youths” as victims…that deserve our care. The Catholic Church is being attacked by the ACLU, which is always convenient. And by some readers here, who mutter the Church is a charity, so why is it paid (IF it is)?

This stuff ties in with the Rolling Stone campus rape crisis propaganda which has been going on for a long time before the RS story broke.

The whole HILL story stinks to high heaven. As does the ACLU.

  32. I’m with Don Carlos …

As in this is going to break down into another ‘media op’ — Chicago on the Potomac style.

    The salient points:

The Hill ‘exposure’ (as if they actually did any discovering)
    The ACLU lawsuit (lawfare)
Moving the spot light away from Tehran

And all around Social Justice Warrioring….

The idea is to use high emotions to establish case law…

Which can then be followed up by even larger breaches when circumstances permit.

  34. According to tort law in most jurisdictions, if I install a pool on my land I must put up a fence to keep children out. This is generally called the Attractive Nuisance Doctrine. If I fail to put up barriers I may be held civilly liable for any harm that befell a child who entered my property because they were attracted to my pool. The same moral reasoning behind this legal doctrine (and explicit laws where they exist) applies here and the actions of our government is disgusting to say the least.

  35. Don Carlos: “Oldflyer @11:49 AM-
Sorry to disagree, but legal immigrants working for a living is not “giving back.”
It is called work, not charity, for a reason.”

Disagree if you will, but I happen to believe that caregivers, such as I found in the hospital setting, are giving back. I will grant that the wording I have used when making this observation previously; i.e., “contributing to our society” may be more appropriate. But let’s quibble over wording, shall we?

Perhaps my comments are prejudiced by the fact that one daughter is an RN on a Labor and Delivery Service, and the other is a PT in a major rehabilitation hospital. Both are well compensated financially, but give of themselves in many ways that the average “worker” cannot imagine.

  36. As bad as I feel for the illegal young adults who are being raped, and then forced to undergo abortion, it occurs to me that had they not been in that “refugee” center to begin with, nothing would not have happened to them.
I understand that vicious drug gangs taking are taking over mexican and central american towns, forcing people to do terrible things. Should we import more of that chaos into this country?
I know that there is evil in the world, not just in men’s and women’s hearts. I think the Catholic Church understands this very well, and is trying to do what it can for these people. I can guarantee they ain’t making a profit from whatever contracts they have with the feds…they would just use any “excess” money to help more illegals…that’s what Christ compelled them to do, why question why they do it?
