Dick Cheney takes it pretty far… — 25 Comments

  1. Just a reminder. it was 150 years ago today about 7 minutes ago that Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomattox. Grant did not require the Confederates to give up their sidearms or horses. That says something about how basic trust between Americans has eroded today.

  2. Indeed Neo indeed
When my hubby & I discuss all that has transpired we are further appalled at how the
Middle east was set aflame by his & Hillary’s
blatant ineptitude. And incompetent Hillary who was surely egging the Prince on at the behest of her little Muslim Brotherhood operative Huma.
And the sycophant media treating it all like the fall of the Berlin Wall ! Such a sad set of events for those people, the lives lost, the livelihoods lost, the ugly face of 7th century barbarism resurrected.

  3. All I can say about this horrible man is that when the next black makes a demand for reparations, I will answer, “We paid.”

  4. What in tarnation is there to argue over? If the most treacherous of men is not, ipso fact, the worst, not only of his office, but of his kind, then we have lost all touch with what is so and what not. Are people so stupid that they must be remedially attended to with 2 + 2 = 4 and McGuffey Readers. Obama is the worst of Presidents, and the world’s worst living human.

  5. I have two hopes remaining: That the country and the world survive his remaining time in office, and that I live long enough to see him convicted of treason.

  6. He’s our first anti-American president.

He tops even that by making virtually every issue one of race.

    Quite simply, Barry’s a racist.

Which is what one must expect after 20 years of Wright stuff.

  7. If darling dearest Rodham makes it into the White House I think everyone on the right will be amazed at how far left this country can be pushed.

The leftward changes in the voting population make it all possible.

  8. “He’s not just the worst president. There’s a Grand Canyon-sized gap between him and any other president we’ve ever had.”

    Neo,
You hit it out of the park with that statement and could not be more correct.

  9. Regardless of how the sampling is done, it is incredible to believe that given Neo’s claim, which I wholly agree with, the President’s approval rating is at or near 50%.

I don’t think we need to elect Hillary Clinton president to be amazed at how far leftward this country has been pushed, and how ignorant and misinformed the collective electorate are.

I don’t like to play the “elite” card, but in this case it’s undeniable. Even in 2009 it was still possible that seeing how Obama turned out as a president the country would roundly reject him, but 6 years later that hasn’t happened, and frankly, I bet he could still win another election were such a thing legally possible.

  10. The reason why it feels inadequate to state that, “Obama is the worst President ever” is because it places him within a continuum, from worst to best. Placing him within a Presidential continuum confers legitimacy.

Obama is not the first racist President, nor the most incompetent, which might be Carter.

He is of course the first ‘black’ President, NOT the first ‘interracial’ President, as for his supporters, his interracial ancestry only serves to highlight the ineradicable racism of white America.

But that doesn’t address the unique disaster for America that his elevation to the Presidency creates.

All this said, expressing an adequate assessment is quite simple; Barack Obama is the first traitor elected to the American Presidency. That, places him outside the Presidential continuum.

Barack Obama being the first Presidential traitor, will, more than anything else, be his historical legacy and, ‘The First Presidential Traitor’ is the definitive description of the man, everything else being decidedly secondary to that consequential reality.

  11. Obama is a symptom.
Electing this clique once was a mistake.
    Twice was enemy action.

Your Obama voting family members, “friends”, neighbors, acquaintances don’t mean you well.
May as well face it and take appropriate measures.

As to the whys of such elation and petulance … that is for the forensic team to figure out.

For now and forward, “Those Who Are No Longer Our Countrymen” [TWANLOC] should be handled accordingly …

    It’s happened before.

  12. 1. ConceptJunkie: The reason Obama has near 50% approval is because something like 60% of the citizenry doesn’t pay taxes and Obama still has 95% approval from Blacks.

    2. Let me refine neo’s post. First divide rating Obama between foreign and domestic policy. VP Cheney (and NE native) focused only on foreign relations. And the current state of foreign affairs.

But what about the near future?

Things are bad now, but they could get a whole lot worse real fast.

The Mideast could blow up well beyond anything we have seen. Iran captures Yemen and cuts off the sea lanes. Oil goes to $140.

The Iran negotiations have been botched by naive wimps. We had the advantage and didn’t press it.

But what if Iran already has nuke material? What if the intelligence is wrong?

Or what if Israel attacks the nuke sites to take them out?

Or what if the Saudis just buy some nukes from the French, Brits or Paks?

And try the combo of foreign and domestic policy. ISIS or AQ crosses our open southern border and explodes a dirty nuke in Chicago? Or poison gas in the NYC or DC subway?

And the ticking time bomb is $17t plus in federal debt. Right the interest rates are cheap with the 10 year below 2%. But what if the 10 year goes to 10%? The budget deficit explodes. And clearly raising taxes is out so the Fed runs the prininting presses and your six pack of Bud (owned by foreigners) goes to $20.

My point is that Obama has kicked a lot of problems down the road and worked plenty of harm with his incrementalism on issues like illegal immigration and SSM. Also add in his nutty global warming stuff and War on American Energy. But there can be a catalyst event that we don’t see right and things could spin out of control real fast.

And I have zero confidence that Barack and Val can handle things at all.

  13. g6loq,

Obama certainly is a symptom of what ails America.

The great majority of our Obama voting family members, “friends”, neighbors and acquaintances are loyal Americans, who have been duped and betrayed by the approx. 9% of Americans whose loyalty is to Marxism.

    Cornhead,
In Presidential elections, democrats have not won a majority of white voters since before 1976.

If Iran captures the Strait of Hormuz and Yemen’s Bar-el-Mandeb Strait and holds hostage the passage of 1/3 of the world’s oil, no one is certain as to how high they can jack the price. There may be no natural limit.

There never was any ‘advantage’ to be gained, since there was never any possibility of viable negotiations with Iran.

There is no question that the intelligence is wrong. It is to what degree it is flawed wherein the question lies. In any case, it is now a virtual certainty that Iran will get the bomb.

Israel lacks the wherewithal to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Nuclear proliferation is now as much a certainly as Iran gaining nuclear weapons capability. Both are done deals.

“FBI: 100 Percent Chance of WMD Attack”

The ticking time bomb that is the federal debt far exceeds the $17t plus that the feds admit to; “November 28, 2009, The Federal Government admits to over $12 Trillion dollars in debt. In reality, its obligations are multiples of that figure. The unfunded promises from Social Security and Medicare total around $100 trillion. That is, to properly fund the forecasted future deficits in Social Security and Medicare, $100 trillion would have to be put in the fund today. This liability is growing at the rate of about $5 trillion per year! The Government has promised benefits that they cannot honor. These programs are Ponzi schemes that make Bernie Madoff look like Mother Teresa. As evidence, the total net worth of the country (the country’s total assets less liabilities) is slightly above $50 trillion. If the Government confiscated everything, the programs would still be $50 trillion short and the Government would still be bankrupt. Furthermore, no company or individual would be left with anything.”

It is certain that there will be a catalyst event that will quickly spin out of control.

You may have complete confidence that if that catalyst event happens before Obama leaves office that he will not let that crisis go to waste.

  14. “”Barack Obama is the first traitor elected to the American Presidency.””

This is how he stays at 50%. Obama operates with such extreme malice for America that his actions can’t even be described accurately without sounding like a hostile extremist. He is a traitor. And the fact is most people who voted for him refuse to think he could be that bad and that they could have been conned that good.

So their safety is to stay in the shoot the mean ole messenger mode. Otherwise they have to face shame for what they’ve done at a really profound level.

  15. My experience is that low-information voters are just low-information. Most of my friends and family are living in a dreamworld. They are sleepwalkers.

I saw “Woman in Gold” today, and judging by appearances, the audience had a high number of Jews. I’m willing to bet that a lot of those people personally experienced or had family members experience the destruction of European Jewry. On the way out, a 40-ish woman asked me a question, and we got to talking.

I tried to hint at my views on the relevance of this movie to Obama’s regime, but she didn’t take my bait. I think she is a low-information voter, thanks to our traitorous press.

Had this stranger shown a bit more awareness of our current monstrous traitorous government, I would have made a greater effort to talk to her about current conditions, but it is exhausting to meet a total stranger, try to ask them out for a coffee or drink, and then talk about the complexity of our current situation.

I feel like I am reliving the nightmare that ended in the destruction of Europe in WWII. The foolish people who let the monsters take over. But what could they have done to prevent it?

  16. “Barack Obama is the first traitor elected to the American Presidency.”

    This, a thousand times over.

Now, what are we going to do about the fools, traitors, and leeches who elected him?

  17. Promethea, I hear you. I’ve had no luck inserting information into their heads either: neither with gentleness nor with force.

Amazing how effective brainwashing can be.

Rush has been saying that the Republican candidates Must Not Accept the Premise of Any Gotcha Question (and they’re almost all that type) hurled at them by the Treasonous Media. They simply have to go on the offense, and get off the everlasting defense. Start treating them like the enemies they are.

  18. Beverly asks, “what are we going to do about the fools, traitors, and leeches who elected him?”

“Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.” Abraham Lincoln

“Political ideas that have dominated the public mind for decades cannot be refuted through rational arguments. They must run their course in life and cannot collapse otherwise than in great catastrophe…” Ludwig von Mises

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Abraham Lincoln

  19. Congrats to the Hussein loyalists. They’ll get the Armageddon their religion dearly needs as a constituted emergency.

  20. Because Lincoln won that election, the Democrats started a war, to teach abolitionists a lesson and to gain more slave states.

A difference of views between loyalists and patriots is one thing. But the US Civil War I was not fought because elections were the deciding point. And the voters aren’t the ones that get to decide about when the war happens either.

  21. expat: “it was 150 years ago today about 7 minutes ago that Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomattox. Grant did not require the Confederates to give up their sidearms or horses.”

That’s the Long Gray Line for you.

  22. Someone in the public limelight should come out and stated bluntly that Obama is a traitor long ago. The media would have had fits but just maybe it would have been a “look, the Emperor has no clothes” moment. At least Cheney recently came close to stating what should have stated and restated for years.

We have to grant Obama one thing, he understood that the majority of the people can be easily manipulated for evil purposes to their own detriment. People are wrong when they accuse him of being an Alinslyite, it’s Hitler’s methodology that he excels at.

  23. People are wrong when they accuse him of being an Alinslyite

So you think Hussein, who launched his political campaign from Ayers’ mansion, from a direct lineage of Alinsky, is characterized wrong, because he is more directly related to Hitler.

Who is related to Hitler are the American people, in point of fact, not the leaders.
