Isn’t it interesting how Josh Duggar’s sealed juvenile records were leaked to the media and published, but no one could manage to get Michael Brown’s?
[ADDENDUM: I wrote “leaked” above, but it turns out the records were released by the police chief, which is even more disturbing:
Gallagher reported that the release of Duggar’s juvenile police report was approved by Springdale Police Chief Kathy O’Kelley.
Disturbing details about the allegations against Duggar are revealed in the December 2006 police report.
Gallagher explained that the Freedom of Information (FOI) law in Arkansas states that the records of the arrest of a juvenile “shall remain confidential” and “shall not be subject to disclosure under the FOI.”
He noted that even though the names of the alleged victims are redacted in the police report, there are abundant details about who the alleged victims are.
State Sen. Bart Hester is calling for O’Kelley to be fired for releasing the police report to the media.
Hester said that O’Kelley acted recklessly by releasing the report and he is accusing her of re-victimizing the girls by making the allegations public.
This should be a big part of the story, because this is a violation by an official—a police chief—who indeed appears to have re-victimized the victims.]

So we’re supposed to obey the police when they command us to die and become slaves to the black criminals and Leftist ayers. Is that how people think it will work? Is that how people like JJ think our loyalty is supposed to be “owed” to the police that ‘protect’ us?
Megyn Kelly pointed out that the city attorney told the police chief that it was okay to release the record in response to a FOIA request. She also pointed out very vehemently that the city attorney was wrong. Juvenile records are supposed to be immune to FOIA requests in all states.
This is another battle in the War on Christians. A war in which Megyn Kelly has decided to become a warrior. Good for her. She has a megaphone that can counteract some of the incoming form the left.
Just because an attorney says it’s OK to do something does not mean it should be done. As a takeoff on ” Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar,” sometimes a lawyer is just a lawyer, and in courts half of all lawyers are losers.

Since Josh Duggar’s adult life has been so ruined (and I mean, it HAS been ruined), I think the State of Arkansas better think of a nice settlement… He has mouths to feed, you know…
YES! It has been really bothering me that the entire story has been framed incorrectly—on all sides of the political spectrum. This was a crime committed by a young juvenile, with juvenile victims. This is supposed to be sealed/secret forever! There is a reason for that, and we can see why with the effect this revelation has had on the entire Duggar family, including the victim-sisters. Juvenile records are sealed because it is known that a young person may offend, but if they are TREATED—which is the presumption in juvenile law, treatment not punishment—and do not re-offend, they should be free to live their adult lives without the stigma of a criminal record. Josh Duggar got treatment of sorts, and it appears to have been effective in that there have been no other allegations of problems. It is just sickening to think that an Josh Duggar’s life is ruined because of something he did as a child himself; something that is extremely common and that everyone else in America is allowed to put behind them if they mature and learn not to re-offend.
The Left does not forgive transgressions against their God Emperor. When will people learn not to underestimate evil or the Left?
Do you truly believe that these are trifle matters — problems “that don’t exist” — and that ANY sort of criticism is misplaced here?
The Duggars are hardly “targets of the system”; they are a *brand*, they market themselves with regard to their lifestyle choices.
No amount of warnings from me will convince people. But that’s how it should be. Only the Left has the power to convince people by slamming a boot up their heads enough times that they “get it”.
Your reasoning is then that we ought not even *comment* these scandals when they happen, in order not to feed the beast — even when it comes to people who have willingly put themselves in the spotlight by accepting to be public personae — or only that the talk of penalties is inappropriate?

Comments are not the issue. Participating in the social consensus and conferring authority on the Corrupt Society that is around us, is a different issue.
You’re only commenting on it because the Left made you do so. If you are satisfied dancing on their strings, so be it, but people should realize there are consequences for that kind of behavior.
