Our Orwellian immigration agencies
Let’s rename a couple of government agencies.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement department (ICE) will henceforth be known as U.S. Immigration and Customs Non-Enforcement (ICN). The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will now be known as the Department of Homeland Insecurity (DHI).
Why? I think it’s self-evident, with this news only the latest chapter in a long, long line:
Most of the illegal immigrant criminals Homeland Security officials released from custody last year were discretionary, meaning the department could have kept them in detention but chose instead to let them onto the streets as their deportation cases moved through the system, according to new numbers from Congress.
Some of those released were the worst of the worst ”” more than 3,700 “Threat Level 1” criminals, who are deemed the top priority for deportation, were still released out into the community even as they waited for their immigration cases to be heard.
Homeland Security officials have implied their hands are tied by court rulings in many cases, but the numbers, obtained by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, showed 57 percent of the criminals released were by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s own choice, and they could have been kept instead…
ICE officials insist that those who are released are still monitored, often by electronic ankle bracelets but also through a system of phone checks or by paying a bond.
However, nearly all of those released under electronic monitoring broke the terms of their release, according to ICE numbers.
In fiscal year 2014, ICE put about 41,000 immigrants through electronic monitoring, and more than 30,000 of them broke the terms of their release ”” many of them racking up multiple violations. All told, they notched nearly 300,000 violations in one year alone, or an average of 10 instances per violator…
In 2013, the agency released 36,007 convicted criminals who were awaiting the outcome of their deportation cases. Those released had amassed 116 homicide convictions, 15,635 drunken driving convictions and 9,187 convictions stemming from what ICE labeled involvement with “dangerous drugs.”
The total dropped to about 30,000 in 2014 ”” but the seriousness of the offenses increased, with 193 homicide convictions among the detainees and 16,070 drunken driving convictions. There were also 426 sexual assaults and 303 kidnapping convictions, ICE said.
I doubt that even 20% of American would be okay with this. Why are we so powerless to do anything about it? Our president is perfectly fine with it, as well as many of our legislators, and most people don’t even know it’s happening.

The Left covers much of the world now. And people think elections are enough to beat them back? They do not truly understand what they are facing here.
But some people actually leave their countries when stuff happens, they aren’t hypocrites like Democrats who always threaten to leave the US for other countries when Republicans get elected. If only that actually happened with the body of Demoncrats, rather than their bank accounts being overseas.

It’s shocking to look back an discover how, during the Nazi era, officialdom simply set aside even established German law upon administrative whims — usually oral in nature. (!)
THAT’S EXACTLY what’s going on with Barry’s czarist system.
It’s the reach-around as oval diktat.
When in conflict with the statutes, the players are taking their marching orders from the oval office — and tossing out the written law.
Look at the Duggar stunt.
That was absolutely orchestrated — against law and propriety — from the White House.
Look at the stunts that got Barry launched onto the Chicago scene — and thereafter.
Barry and his crew are at WAR with the US Constitution.
And, rather like Adolf seeing the front closing in, Barry is counting down his days until eviction from the bully throne.
I should expect mental tantrums of the first water when the ayatollah has to give up his centrality.
His mirrors will crack.
I always like to put numbers like this in context. For 2013, ICE released 36k criminals. That is equal to two sellout Creighton home games or a game at Wrigley or Fenway.
That is a big number. Obama doesn’t care.
Those criminals released by ICE will make babies in the U.S. who will vote Democrat. That’s the objective.
You had better obey the police or else.
If their SWAT teams don’t terminate your family, their outsourced squads will.
If you still believe that we live in a representative democracy then you haven’t been paying attention for the last 50 years. The Democrats play to their various constituencies; feminist, blacks, Hispanics, the LGBT community and unions. And the GOP is in hock to the Chamber of Commerce and big business. With some few exceptions members of both parties are primarily interested in feathering their own nest and protecting their own power.
Once again most members of both parties will pay lip service to whatever agenda will serve to get them re-elected. But few are actually concerned with keeping their sworn oath to protect and defend the Constitution or serving the interest of middle America. It is growing ever more difficult to believe any of them.
Factor into the equation the corrosive effects of a decades long assault on Western Culture by entertainment and information media, academia, a majority of organized religion and the political class that leaves us in an untenable position.
The masses are too busy finding meaning outside of family, church, etc. They either spend their time trying to be entertained ejecting christian work ethic, or they spend their time on causes thinking that these things give themselves meaning. it fractures the population into groups for and against anything, and the politician just has to pick the group that represents what they want to do. when the ideas were less towards one side, it was hard to see, easier now when its more one sided. if the desired option is a big group, its what the people want, if its a small group, the big group imposes its will, so its sticking up for the little guy. short memories on things, and lack of will prevents the voters from being able to get rid of the problem.
Someone with nothing to lose needs to be victimized by an illegal, then go on a rampage in Washington D.C. in retaliation.
I’m sure that’ll get some headlines.
It’s all very simple: Obama gamed the system.
His tenure comes during a confluence of societal factors, coupled with a set of personal traits that he brings to the mix.
Obama is willing to vigorously exert the authority of the presidency, at a time when Congress is filled with spineless cowards.
The left is insane with White guilt, and will excuse any overreach on Obama’s part. Obama is of course Black, but is also the “right kind” of negro (according to Joe Biden). And we all know what that means: articulate and non-threatening in a ghetto sort-of way.
Obama came from the Chicago school of corruption, and has staffed the bureaucracy with corrupt flunkies who are not terribly interested in carrying out the people’s will.
All of this stems from the fact that government is too large, too powerful, and has attracted the worst elements to it.
The quickest way to solve the problem is to cut the federal government in half.
At any rate, none of this is a mystery.
