How to get the poll results you’re looking for — 10 Comments

  1. I don’t think the article is contemptuous enough about this “poll”. It states

“… unwanted sexual advances … are real problems on college campuses.”

Really? And what would be the alternative? In the absence of the absurd “may I touch you here, may I do this, …” rule requiring constant questioning, ALL human sexuality must involve numerous instances of unwanted sexual advances. And this has nothing to do with college campuses.

  2. You need some sort of a basic consensus to start with … otherwise whatever poll questions asked in a doublethink addled society are devoid of intrinsic meaning…. up is down and Slavery is Freedom.

Federalists gives it a try: a strong dose of Dolezal helps!
“… This is going to be a great intramural battle: feminists who have fought for years for special rights and the special perspective of women, only to find that the beneficiaries of their efforts are men pretending to be women. Then there is the latest target, sportscaster Bob Costas, who hasn’t even challenged any of the core claims in this case but is merely guilty of being insufficiently enthusiastic.

Yup, will come a time when the run of the mill seemingly easy going Libtards find you to be ‘insufficiently enthusiastic’…
[that is me dealing with the Libtard Faghags in my ‘family’. I am G6loq.]

    … then:
“But this is more than mere hypocrisy. It’s a sign of what Orwell called “doublethink”: the practice of holding two contradictory ideas in one’s mind at the same time, and doing so as a deliberate act of loyalty to a political cause. I’m reminded of what Winston Smith’s interrogator tells him while he’s being tortured at the Ministry of Love: that he needs to be “cured” because he is “a lunatic, a minority of one”–that is, because he insists on seeing reality through his own eyes and not through the consensus of the collective.

You believe that reality is something objective, external, existing in its own right. You also believe that the nature of reality is self-evident. When you delude yourself into thinking that you see something, you assume that everyone else sees the same thing as you. But I tell you, Winston, that reality is not external. Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else. Not in the individual mind, which can make mistakes, and in any case soon perishes; only in the mind of the Party, which is collective and immortal.
Orwell captured the infernal, twisted logic of the politics of collective delusion. If you believe something that differs from the social consensus, then no matter how illogical that consensus is, you are the one who is insane. Those who have the sense to state the obvious become the dangerous freaks in need of social quarantine. That’s precisely what we’re seeing at the moment.”…

    Orwell had it all documented.

Libtards are dangerous, very dangerous …. Preemption is the best defense.

  3. Polls are to manipulate public opinion. This is contrary to the accepted wisdom, that polls are there to inform us what public opinion is.

  4. Well, and count on most conservatives not even taking your call. I know every question they ask is rigged. Often, there isn’t even a correct answer possible. Much as with politicians, the choice is between worse and worst, better and best don’t even make it anywhere near the election.

  5. There are three ways to skew poll results in the direction you want:
    1) Skew the population from which the sample is taken.
    2) Set leading questions in the pre-interview
    3) As our hostess said, skew the language in your favor
