John Bolton on Iran — 5 Comments

  1. There was never any option other than military force for closing down Iran’s nuclear program. That should have been clear from the first day it became known. My guess is that survivors of the failure to take pre-emptive action will whine that nothing was done for years to realistically stop Iran.
At least now I know how the holocaust happened. The answer is simply, a paycheck today is more important than the lives of ones children.

  2. sometimes i wonder if micheal bolton would be more interesting to hear from than jon bolton

  3. Sanctions and sequestering their off shore accounts was shackling the iranian economy. Bho threw those tools away. Leading from behind made it easy for the UK, France, and Germany to approve of this toothless agreement so they can return to trading with the mullahs.

I am not certain iran’s facilities can be destroyed from the air. Underground labs can be fortified to survive anything short of a nuclear warhead. The iranians will use some of that 150 billion windfall to dig deeper and pour highly reinforced concrete to their hearts content. And, no one, not even Israel, would use nukes to destroy a suspected nuclear bomb factory.

  4. I have a pretty good idea of what Israel could do to entirely hammer the mullahs.

So, I can’t post about it.

The last time I posted about how America should deal with Iran — I found out eighteen months later — that the mullahs had gone straight down my ‘punch list’ to frustrate Bush II.

It was an eclectic list — which made the list quite the fingerprint when it became public so many months later that Iran had addressed every point — and in EXACTLY the same order !

    So, that shuts me up.

Suffice it to say that Jerusalem’s biggest problem is the post strike politics of dealing with a Muslim cheerleader in the Oval Office.

If Bibi does not act, the words “Never again” will lose their meaning.

The mullahs intend to hide behind an atomic shield and then build and build and build and build — until they have a throw weight in ICBMs that is truly daunting.

Iran has PLENTY of uranium deposits — and all of the other essential raw materials for an epic atomic force.

She also has countless suicidal fanatics.

BHO is taking us down The Three Conjectures road.

When traveled, WWII, WWI, WW0 will all be forgotten.

I can’t imagine a body count that would be any less than ten times as great as all of those conflicts rolled into one stat.

  5. As was once said, the die is cast. We don’t know as the Rubicon is crossed what the outcome will be, but it has been crossed.
Israel would seem to have little incentive to wait much longer, other than to get their plans in order. Why wait for your enemy to become even stronger with more munitions and cash? My guess is a date has already been selected within the next 12 months.
