John Hinderaker has a question about the tsunami of “refugees” arriving in Europe — 73 Comments

  1. Do you really think they want a lot of Muslim girls arriving in the West to discover women’s rights and life without the Burka?

The young men with their sexist attitude even have success with the Western “whores” who find the machismo stimulating.

  2. The situation in the Mideast has always been intractable and will remain so until Islam reforms itself. And a Muslim Reformation ain’t happening.

This is all on Obama and Hillary. Syria is their fault. ISIS is their fault.

The biggest blown opportunity was not creating North American energy independence. Not building KXL was the key. The Greens are in bed with OPEC.

  3. Their countries need to be fixed not evacuated. Maybe that postwar anti-colonialism was a bit premature.

  4. The way to combat this invasion, at least in the Anglosphere, is to promote the ancient liberties of the English-speaking people. Representative government is a double-edged sword, but individual liberties, private property, rule of law must be protected and promoted.

The way to assimilation is through the adoption of the rights, to demonstrate to the oppressed of Islam of equality before the law. This strikes at their daughters, their enslaved. The Western Left will be stepping up their efforts to deny the existence of inalienable rights even as they try to use those rights. They will seek special treatment before the law. They will work to undermine private property even more.

But the losers in that game are the minorities and women in the West. We already see women at the university being treated as wards of the “state’, not held to the standards of men. How long before they are not afforded the liberties of men?….again. Especially if they embrace Islam.

Islam is not compatible with individual liberties, with the modern world where religion is separate from the economic, social, political, with the rule of law.

  5. I’ll say it again: The actions of Western leaders in allowing and encouraging this invasion is the greatest act of treason in history. They deserve nothing short of the death penalty.

  6. Refugees?

    From the linked to article:
About a fifth of asylum seekers to Germany in the first half of the year were from war-torn Syria, giving them a strong claim to refugee status. But about 39 per cent were from the western Balkans and primarily seeking better economic opportunities, giving them little chance of qualifying for asylum.

That would be Balkans as in Muslim Balkans. Easier to Islamize Western Europe if you’re on the dole and have free time for angst attacks, guerilla theater, peddling grievances, raping, and sexual grooming.

  7. This may well be organized by governments, possibly including Western governments, similar to the massive sudden “totally unexpected” influx of little children (actually, it was a lot of young men) from Central America across the U.S./Mexico border. Obviously, we KNOW the official acceptance of anchor babies as a way to automatically gain citizenship and we know about both establishment parties’ hunger for pliable pawns (immigrants) to water down the vote and provide cheap labor. We KNOW those children were given rides on trains through Mexico, arranged by the Mexican government. We KNOW that there were leaflets distributed in and around poor central American areas encouraging people to send their kids north. We KNOW the U.S. government anticipated this influx because there was at least one ad for “refugee coordinator,” or some such, months in advance of the influx. Also, I recall at least one South American fat commie poobah, I think from Uruguay, chortling about how the U.S. would be brought to its knees by Latinos.

  8. This whole thing reeks of not letting a crisis go to waste. But, yes, the evidence is not all in yet.

  9. The *elites* in Europe, had to know about this & if they didn t then they are the most inept bunch of fools, living the *high* life on the backs of working Europeans. They put Louis X1111 & marie Antoinette to shame !
So now Western civilization has to endure the disgorging of the ME & dysfunctional continent of Africa !

  10. why this surge of refugees in Europe now?
it doesn’t explain the sudden explosion of numbers.
…[W]hy is it that the migrants are overwhelmingly young men? There are a few women, children and families; but numerically, young men predominate. This is not what one would normally expect from a group of refugees fleeing a war zone.

[its not uncommon for men to go first, and if they survive and get thigns going, sending for the family and children later. My grandfather did this and his wife and kids said.. no… then he met my grandmother, and that was that]

however, whats different is not being reported!!!

    todays news:

EXCLUSIVE: First picture ‘proof’ that Russia has troops on the ground all over Syria helping dictator Bashar Al-Assad – and they’ve been there since APRIL

Images showing Russians troops in Syria posted on social media accounts
Some have been taken at Russia’s small naval facility in Tartus, Syria
But forces seen at other locations and pictures have been taken since April
Pregnant woman complained on social media that her Russian marine husband is being deployed to the country for ‘three to eight months’
Pictures will infuriate Western leaders in the face of official Russian denials

historically speaking, from the ukraine, to ajerbaijan, and other places, russian troops are especially and exceptionally brutal.

Russia ‘is building military base in Syria’ – Telegraph
Exposing Russia’s Secret Army in Syria – The Daily Beast
Russian troops in Syria: What are they doing there … – Pravda

put brutality of russian troops, and you get 100 years of consistent behavior ranging from rapes and torture during and post WWII, to chechnya, and on and on.

ie. the one method that the russians consistently use for control is extreme and easy to trigger brutality of the common folk

the first brutality starts with their own people

The Russian Soldier Today – JIA SIPA
    http://jia.sipa.columbia.edu/russian-soldier-today/

To assess the current levels of brutality, all one needs to do is visit YouTube, where home-made videos openly portray the beating of young recruits, filmed by their proud assailants. Perhaps due to the availability of this information, Russian families are increasingly aware of the dangers military duty entails and they expend great efforts to save their sons from it. Every week, dozens, sometimes hundreds, of parents and young men cram into the dingy offices of SMSP to attend the human rights school and learn how to protect themselves from violations common to the military draft and service.

in the west hazing is bad, in the east, hazing is part of the training and can reach deadly extremes…

[Dedovshchina] establishes an informal hierarchy of conscripts, based on the length of their service, and a corresponding set of rights and duties for each group… Newcomers have essentially no rights… they must earn them over time. [They] are ‘not eligible’ to eat, wash, relax, sleep, be sick, or even keep track of time. Dedovshchina is distinguished by predation, violence, and impunity. During their first year of service, conscripts live under the constant threat of violence for failing to comply with limitless orders and demands of dedy [senior conscripts].

now, when such people are let go into an area, unlike US troops, they become a violent unruly mob of very very nasty people who see the locals as even less than human and visit all manner of extreme deprivations… torture and rape are very common.

In addition to the “normal” dedovshchina practices, conscripts also run the risk of becoming victims of more gruesome types of violations, such as forced labor, rape, prostitution, murder, and, more recently, the forced signing of military contracts.

caught between the russian brutality and the terrorist brutality, these refugees want out, but this also facilitates, as every conflict does, the lack of records and movement of peoples of questionable alliance and ability.

now remember that the US has new special troops, including women… imagine women going up against spetsnaz!!!!!!! in the west we removed this kind of hardening of troops that was never as extreme as russia, but how long would a western woman who wants to prove to feminism that women can serve anywhere, stand up to people with such training?

i wonder if spetznaz will call them diryt names and their drill seargents will come out into the field and tell them that war is no place for bullies…

  12. Going into full conspiracy mode I suggest soros as the banker and Turkey as the enabler with covert assistance from the mannish boy and vj. Seriously, this an orchestrated crisis. I suspect everyone, but most of all the goody 2 shoes progressive lackeys of the West who have brought us to such dire straits.

  13. JK Brown Says: Do you really think they want a lot of Muslim girls arriving in the West to discover women’s rights and life without the Burka?

thats really funny as feminism does not oppose the burka, nor does it oppose genital mutilation… it DOES promote slicing a babies face down the middle to remove the brain for sale, but it does nothing about that kind of thing. that would be patriarchal, and judgemental of other cultures… you know, like when the british colonialists stopped the hindu practice of sutti… where you put the live woman on top of the pyre that her husband is creamated

and of the western women i see wearing burka, or the veil, or any number of other special outfits most cant name here… (but i see in my neighborhood all the time)… like watching some in a hijab or niquaab walk to the corner store

for feminists blocking the evil violent male gaze they assume is always sexual, always about them, etc… (men have no say in what they think, feminists tell us what we think and we cant correct that as they are always right)

    it depends.
but since feminism was originally a terrorist movement (maybe not the earliest ones, but the liberal leftist communist ones definitely were: see rote zora), they favor other terrorist groups over what those groups actually may or may not want.

Why are my fellow feminists shamefully silent over the tyranny of the veil, asks JULIE BINDEL
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2424073/Why-fellow-feminists-shamefully-silent-tyranny-veil-asks-JULIE-BINDEL.html

maybe cause they have no men to defend them when they open their mouths to others who do have men to defend their ideas?

    anyway:
As a feminist, I find it depressing that so few other campaigners have been willing to speak out on this issue. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the silence of the British sisterhood is shaming.

Self-styled feminist politicians and lobbyists are only too delighted to talk about employment issues such as ‘glass ceilings’, maternity leave and the work/life balance. But they fall shamefully quiet when it comes to something as important as the right of women not to be bullied by extremists into anonymised submission and treated as sexless chattels.

there is even a movement in the US trying to convert men to islam under the idea that islam will restore their place in the family and so on.

but what can the feminists do? their men are not men and wont fight for them… (which many women have gone online to complain about their leftist liberal men!!!!)…

so you can see who will win this fight in the end as the society of the neutered HAS to give way to the society of men who are willing to kill the neutered.

Samantha Allen explains why she hates men
    http://www.avoiceformen.com/feminism/samantha-allen-explains-why-she-hates-men/

why do i hate men? because life is short. my life is getting shorter by the day and i want to fill it with women. in this sinking ship of a world, i just want to enjoy a tiny little space, a room, if you will, of my own. i want that room to be full of women and free from ego, hierarchy, sexual advances, and violence. i hate men because i can’t even have that fucking room without them knocking on the walls. you have the entire fucking house. go play in it. find something else to do.

i hate men because it’s not my job to fix masculinity; it’s my job to heal from it and to be together with my sisters as we try to make it through a hostile world. and yet i am expected to patiently educate men on how not to be an asshole. here’s my only tip: stop spending so much time around men. they’re assholes.

i hate men because men hate me and the burden to take the high road should not fall on my shoulders.

when she gets drafted to the military to fight, or her daughter does, she might learn. but i doubt it. the men around her have been healed, they wont stand up or help her…

    this makes it farcical
Why Using “The Draft” as a Weapon Against a Feminist is Ignorant

The Feminist Objection to Women in Combat
    http://www.theatlantic.com/sexes/archive/2013/01/the-feminist-objection-to-women-in-combat/272505/

“This is unfair; women should be allowed to fight.” But you can also look at that exclusion and say, “You know, half of humanity has been excluded from going to war. If that many people weren’t fighting, maybe that means that fighting is an aberration rather than a necessity.”

If that’s the case, if morality is tied to battle, then women too must fight if they are to be valued and honored as moral actors. When war is so central to our moral experience, those who are not warriors cannot be equal. This is why feminist cultural icons like Buffy Summers or Katniss Everdeen are so often warriors.

    -=-=-=-=-=-

of course she is thinking movies and angelina jolie, not terrorism, spetznaz, and so on… ie. she has not realized that she lives mostly with sheep dogs, not wolves…

and the wolves are coming to take what they want from the neutered sheep dogs.

  14. Flopping Aces:
the Europeans are inviting Muslims to finish what Umayyads couldn’t accomplish in the 8th Century and the Ottomans couldn’t do in the 15th and 16th. Already Muslims make up between 5% and 10% of most major European countries — and upwards of 20% in many of the largest cities… and the numbers were expected to grow rapidly, even before this refugee problem.

This poses an interesting juxtaposition… and a bit of irony. For 50 years American leadership kept much of Western Europe free in the face of a Soviet menace that was constantly seeking to enlarge its empire. Because of the security provided by the United States those same European nations were able to spend billions of dollars a year on welfare programs. Now, today, after six years of American failure of leadership AKA “leading from behind” it is those welfare programs themselves that are acting as a magnet to those who more often than not have no use for the freedoms that the United States spent half a century defending… Why fight a hot war against the Crusaders when you can simply sign up for their welfare programs and help them collapse from within?

    THE ROOTS OF ISLAMIC TERRORISM

    How Socialists became Islamic terrorists

Modern terrorism was born within a year, 1967-1968. International socialists (communists) started the fashion all over the world simultaneously, which should make us suspicious about the common roots. National socialists followed suit, turning Marxists of Muslim origin into Islamists of Marxist origin.

In May 18th, 1967, Yuri Andropov took over the leadership of the KGB. The Russian security services evolved into a state within the Soviet state, as it became clear when Andropov became the communist party’s general secretary after Leonid Brezhnev’s death, in 1982. During Andropov’s era, which was far longer than that of any other KGB chief, the Soviet secret services supported international terrorism through satellite states and Marxist “liberation fronts”. “On becoming chairman of the KGB in 1967, Andropov immediately announced his intention to revive KGB ‘special actions’ as an essential tool of Soviet policy during the Cold War.” (Andrew & Mitrokhin, p. 374)

The man who became Andropov’s deputy was former Azerbaijani KGB chief Semyon Tsvigun, who committed suicide on January 19th, 1982. His wife was the sister of Brezhnev. Eduard Topol wrote a spy novel about the case, titled “Red Square”. In the novel, Tsvigun’s widow accuses Andropov for being an anti-Semite, organizing international terrorism, and having his subordinate assassinated. Reality, however, does not corroborate any rift within the KGB. Tsvigun’s son became a KGB officer too, and was appointed as a Soviet diplomat in Cairo from August 1984. Tsvigun’s son-in-law became the main supplier of arms to Islamist terrorists in Afghanistan, by 1995.

On June 2nd, 1967, violent student demonstrators met the Shah of Iran in West Germany. All of free Europe was plagued by student demonstrations in May 1968, causing a nearly revolutionary situation in France. Numerous left-wing terrorist cells were formed in Germany, Italy, and other western countries. Their activities peaked in 1977, after which the West German terrorists retired in communist East Germany.

The (North Irish) IRA and (Basque) ETA started their terrorism in 1968, with peaks around 1976. Andropov considered an IRA request for arms delivery for three years until subscribing it in 1972. (Andrew & Mitrokhin, p. 378 and 384-385)

German and Italian left-wing terrorists cooperated by summer 1969, and in October 1971, altogether 16 terrorist groups held a meeting in Florence, Italy. Beside the IRA and ETA, many Palestinian and Latin American (ERP, ELN, MLN, MIR) groups joined to the international terror network by 1973.

In the USA, Soviet agents incited racial tension by writings in the name of the Ku Klux Klan, and by a bomb explosion in New York City, in summer 1971. (Andrew & Mitrokhin, p. 238) The same year, Soviet agents made contacts to a Quebecois separatist group, the FLQ.

In Latin America, communist Cuba was the source of revolutionary activities in many countries, although the KGB kept its own agents there too. (Andrew & Mitrokhin, p. 386) In October 1967, “Che Guevara”, whose girl-friend was an East German, was executed in Bolivia, becoming a romantic idol for teenage girls. Thirty-four years later, his picture could be seen on the T-shirts of young Palestinian brawlers. In Mexico, the KGB was involved in student riots from July to October 1968, prior to the Olympic Games. Uruguay experienced urban guerrilla activities by the MLN, peaking between 1968 and 1972. Argentine followed between 1970 and 1975. Communists had big hopes on Chile, but were bitterly disappointed by the military coup in 1973.

By the end of the 1970s, communist optimism was definitely on the decline everywhere in the world. At that point, the KGB desperately needed any kind of a boost of revolutionary spirits. Surprisingly, the Middle East came to rescue.

In December 1967, a Lebanese Christian, George Habash, who had been a Pan-Arabic national socialist, had broadened his field by founding the PFLP, a Palestinian organization. Although it split already by the next year, the PFLP remained the most pro-Soviet Palestinian terrorist group, with widest global ties. It caused the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party to adopt the Palestinian cause in 1968. In July 1970, Andropov allowed the first direct Soviet arms delivery to the PFLP. From that on, both the KGB and – perhaps even more so – the Russian military intelligence, GRU, provided Palestinian terrorists with arms and training. (Segaller, p. 126-127; Livingston & Halevy, p. 140; Lunev, p. 80; Kuzichkin, p. 206; Andrew & Mitrokhin, p. 381) From 1972 on, this was co-ordinated by Habash, who had close connections to Japanese and Latin American terrorist groups. (Livingston & Halevy, p. 208-209)

TONS more… after all the highlander school was run by soviet sympathizers… the lion of the democrats worked with the kgb to try to negate reagan… clinton was a fulbright scholar to the soviet union… ayers wanted what kind of government… blazio went to cuba for honeymoon?

the above partial article is from the european olitician issue 5… i sent a full copy to neo to peruse.

  15. ” Steyn is right: the West is commiting suicide.

Again, I would like to disagree. I want to disagree. But I cannot.”

    Yeah, well … again

Did I mention that many men today cannot even bring themselves to declare to their own sons that wasting one’s life on drugs is actually, “wrong”? Oh yeah, I said it and you all knew about that problem already.

Did I mention that half of your friends and relatives have sunk into a moral nihilism, (born of a fashionable if incoherent relativism) so deep that they could not convincingly say what their own rights were based on, if their own lives depended, as they do, on it? Oh yeah I did, and most of you have already noted and said similar things yourselves.

Looks like everyone here knows what the problem is.

What’s the solution? How can we gain some clarity?

Did I ask why people who are unwilling to defend themselves, or even their own children, are entitled to be defended or respected by others, who then must do what they will not do, if their comfortable lives and complacent life ways are to be preserved? Yeah I did. And I never did get an answer to that one.

If, say, I came across a jihadist dragging Amanda Marcotte or Debbie Wasserman Schultz through the street by their hair, or setting Michael Moore ablaze on a pyre, should I care? And if so, about what, and why?

A man comes up to me and says, “hit me”. I don’t. I say, “You are crazy, some kind of guilt ridden masochist who needs to feel pain as the price of being alive. Go away.”

He goes away, but not far; and continues to try and satisfy his neuroses by crapping up my life. Then, in order to get the punishment and attention he craves he opens the door to someone who will hit him. When the barbarian doesn’t stop when the pervert’s craving is satisfied, the pervert starts screaming for help.

If you accommodate him in the first place, you become an enabler and an accomplice, and your own life is tainted. If you do not accommodate him, but leave him to his own devices, he goes so far off the rails, he ends up destroying the very predicate of your political association, and actively subverting the system in order to get his cravings met.

When he has successfully subverted the system, reducing it to near ruin, or at least a shambles, then you are expected to step up, and try and restore things to the status quo ante.

What is wrong with this picture?

Most of us know something about the fall of classical civilization. But do we really know the details? How moral dysfunction piled on moral dysfunction until the preservation of the system that enabled its perpetuation in that form became itself an absurd enterprise?

Vortigern. Dermot MacMurrough. It’s typical, not atypical. Opening the gates, sometimes literally, to the barbarians is one of the oldest stories in the world.

    People invite the bastards in.

  16. Or maybe it’s just not thinking things through properly — Angela Merkel’s recent actions are perhaps the main cause of the sudden deluge:

Perhaps the main draw for migrants fleeing Syria was the German government’s pledge last month to take all Syrian asylum applications, regardless of how they reach German territory. Normally, under E.U. rules on migration, a refugee can only claim asylum in the E.U. country he enters first. That means migrants traveling overland from the Middle East can get stuck in the less prosperous nations of southern and eastern Europe. But in light of the chaos unfolding in Syria, German Chancellor Angela Merkel made a promise to all Syrian refugees: if you manage to physically reach Germany, you can apply for asylum in Germany.

    Then this:

A kind of natural momentum has increased the movement. Migrants reaching Germany are reporting to their friends and relatives back home what pitfalls to avoid, thus removing much of the uncertainty — and therefore the fear — that had been holding people back from attempting the journey. At every stage, the migrants tend to stay in touch via Facebook or text messages with friends who have made it farther along, and that seems to pull the whole chain toward its destination.

  17. “The young men with their sexist attitude even have success with the Western “whores” who find the machismo stimulating.” — JK Brown, above.

Meanwhile there is some controversy about whether providing is haram or not. Swallowing semen is definitely out, and it’s hard to imagine a male giving oral pleasure to a woman without ingesting some secretions. I’m leaving aside the entire question of whether Muslim are that interested in giving females orgasms in any case, whereas for Western, secular humanist males that is the prime directive.

  18. This article looks at six more reasons:

    1. The war is not getting any better. That has the dual effect of prompting more Syrians to leave their country and causing Syrians in exile in Turkey to give up hope of returning home

    2. Turkey is not a country for people to stay in for the long term. It has been more receptive than most, taking in about 2 million Syrian refugees. But Syrians do not have the right to work there legally, so it is not a place to settle.

    3. UN bodies working with millions of refugees in Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon are complaining that they are running out of money, making camp conditions harsher than in the past and life more untenable for Syrians who live on their own but still depend on UN subsidies.

    4. People have finally saved up enough money. It is expensive to pay for your family to cross to Greece and then work your way up through Europe.

    5. There is now a known route. People have long trekked through the Balkans to the EU, but Syrians were not previously among them. That changed late last summer, when the first few Syrians found the Balkan route to Europe. Those trailblazers told their friends, who told their friends, who set up Facebook groups about it. Suddenly a phenomenon was born — and one that grew still faster when people realised that the window might not stay open for much longer.

    6. The crisis is only a crisis because of the European response to it. EU countries have spent all year debating and procrastinating about an appropriate solution to Europe’s biggest refugee movement since the second world war.

  19. Regarding Muslim immigrant men and the local women, the issue is rape jihad. Look at Sweden’s rape statistics, or the tragedy of Rotterham, UK. This will not be about immigrant women being liberated, it is and will continue to be about Western women being abused.

  20. Thousands of Syrian migrants fought either with the Assad regime (allied to Iran, the nemesis of the Sunni Gulf States) or ISIS and al-Qaeda (which want to overthrow the Saudi monarchy).

Let not forgot in 1991 Assad regime /Thousands of Syrian fought with Sunni Gulf States against Saddam. There well loved and hosted by Gulf States…..

  21. “Blandly generalized benevolence…presents us with a generalized Other – one whose only relationship to us is to provide an occasion for the exercise of our benevolence so that we can reassure ourselves of our own good will – in place of those particular others with whom we must learn to share common goods, and participate in ongoing relationships” -Alasdair MacIntyre nails it as usual

  22. The Guardian and Time are running interference. What a surprise.

    Their explanations are at cross-purposes:
-Angela Merkel instigated the crisis by offering asylum? No. Merkel’s pledge was a response (however, unfortunate, in retrospect) to the crisis of people already pouring into Europe for months rather than an instigation of it. They people were already aiming for Benefitland. It seems Merkel just tried to make political hay off the inevitable, and probably got forced by the EU.
-Are refugees truly refugees if they are refugees from a refugee camp? Are nations already burdened with high immigration costs obligated to take in people who are fleeing the terrible, appalling inconvenience of crappy government?
-The Gulf States won’t take them because they are known to cause trouble so Europe must?

  23. AMartel,

I don’t agree that the Guardian and Time are simply running “interference,” but rather that they, like Neo, are trying to answer the question of “why this surge of refugees in Europe now?

  24. “these people are leaving in large numbers due to the war-torn strife of the civil war in Syria or Libya…..” No doubt that’s true…… But these wars have been going on for quite some time and nothing like these enormous and overwhelming numbers were coming to Europe

But you do not mentioning that ISIS now taking more land killing more people they savage and criminals a collection from around the world someone who paid for them tickets, welfare ($700USD) and also get the Women for Jihad Mirage all that to kill native people of their land and their homes.

They had the truth US & its collation doing doggy work on their land despite the reports media of killing key figures of ISIS each day but the loss between civilians rises each day and become more and more by these killers. Also you would to check reports about civilian causalities by those bombing….
Reports about how effective the US strategy targeting ISIS, and you think people on the ground look to these reports or they are on the ground and new the truth far more that you and these reports. Why aren’t we hitting the Islamic State harder?

Nearly 75 percent of U.S. bombing runs targeting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria returned to base without firing any weapons in the first four months of 2015, holding their fire mainly because of a lack of ground intelligence and raising questions about President Obama’s key tactic in pushing back an enemy that continues to expand its territory in the war zone.

  25. Lets get straight on the mannish boy. First of all, he has no desire to push back, let alone, destroying ISIS. Secondly, other ‘leaders’ in the West don’t want to get their hands dirty when it comes to killing tens of thousands of islamic thugs. No boots on the ground equals eventual surrender to the ISIL desired expansion of the caliphate. Greece, tottering on financial collapse will be the first sacrificial lamb, followed by Italy, and the Balkans, with the Iberian peninsula not far behind.

    Deja vu all over again.

  26. Merkel’s feeling the political heat and so is changing her tune somewhat:

Ms Merkel suggested that there were limits to such generosity after facing criticism from her conservative allies the Christian Social Union over the decision to admit the refugees. “We will protect those who should be protected but those with no prospect of staying must leave our country,” she said on Monday.

About a fifth of asylum seekers to Germany in the first half of the year were from war-torn Syria, giving them a strong claim to refugee status. But about 39 per cent were from the western Balkans and primarily seeking better economic opportunities, giving them little chance of qualifying for asylum.

Berlin is seeking to reduce “pull factors”, particularly for economic migrants, with measures that include replacing cash benefits for asylum seekers in initial reception centres with benefits in kind.

Ms Merkel also announced that social benefits for people likely to be deported would be reduced. These include items such as food, clothing and accommodation.

  27. Presidential candidate and billionaire businessman Donald Trump has the right idea on how to stop ISIS. “I would knock out the source of their wealth, the primary source of their wealth, which is oil,” he told MSNBC.A year into the United States-led air campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, this effort has done little, if anything, to stop the murderous Islamists group’s oil lifeline. The U.S. Treasury Department estimated last month that ISIS netted at least $1 billion from public and private banks in the cities it has overrun. ISIS generates additional income from taxes, ransom, sexual slave trade, antiquities crimes, and smuggling. But the revenues from oil and oil products fuel the umbilical cord of ISIS. According to Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing, Daniel Glaser, ISIS has been making “about $500 million a year” from oil sales.

To Stop ISIS, Stop Its Ability to Sell Oil
    August 20, 2015 11:57 am

ISIS smuggle the crude oil and trade it for cash and refined products, at a reduced price. They also have their own small and rudimentary refineries in Syria. ISIS controls smuggling routes and the crude transported by tankers to Jordan via Anbar province, to Iran via Kurdistan, to Turkey via Mosul, to Syria’s local market and to the Kurdistan region of Iraq, where most of it gets refined locally.Turkey has turned a blind eye to this and may continue to do so until they come under pressure from the West to close down oil black markets in the country’s south.

The proceeds from ISIS oil sales are a PITTANCE compared to their gains by way of battlefield capture.

Further, the vast bulk of their oil sales are at RETAIL — right there — on the spot.

ISIS is NOT exporting crude oil into the larger global market.

ISIS is able to smuggle oil to:

    Turkey…

    and that’s about it.

All other points of the compass are impassible or impossible.

Don’t be quite so quick vis a vis the Greeks.

    1) It’s the Greeks that are prohibiting mosque construction. Yes, it’s a big fuss. Since this is not “on narrative” it’s omitted from wider broadcast.

    2) When Greece ultimately defaults — it will be her creditors that take the hit.

So far Paris has managed to unload her massive exposure and ‘gift it’ to the rest of Europe. (by way of the ECB)

    3) Greece is NOT handing out the welcome mat. Athens has had enough. Indeed, the FIRST action that will eventuate is the mass expulsion of so many needy Muslim mouths. As it stands (Lesbos) Greece is doing everything it can to S L O W the Muslim invasion down. Like the Balkans, Greece knows, at a gut level, all about Islam.

You can ditto that with Hungary.

The fact is that MOST of the ummah wants to flee // invade.

We can’t handle ANY OF THEM. Not a one.

Muslims just can’t live side by side with infidels. It really is that simple.

  35. The only other reason I can think of, is men, especially young men, are likely to be killed by both Isis and Assad.

  36. The Guardian and Time are suggesting obviously incomplete and incoherent answers. Why? Why is the focus on blaming Europeans instead of the nations of origin and their neighbors? Poor Merkel is bullied into an (overly) expansive gesture of good will and it’s all her fault for drawing them in? And why the labored effort in phoniness, over several points, to frame this as some sort of awesome cooperative hike with the good folks sending back word by Facebook (refugees with smartphones?) to their sufferin’ kinfolk left behind that they found the Secret Path to the Promised Land, um, the 4 lane highway to Germany. So fake. And this thing about the UN refugee camps running out of money. Please. Look into that before reporting, and believing, it as fact. These “answers” just raise more questions, mainly about the authors. I’ve seen too many mainstream media lies to believe that either of these stories is an honest truth seeking effort. So has everyone.

  37. ISIS is already boasting that they’ve embedded “thousands” of jihadis in this huge tidal wave of Muslim males.

Rush Limbaugh has been vehement that these people aren’t refugees, but invaders.

Meanwhile, Hussein Obama has been shoveling tens of thousands of these same types into America, on our dime. Quel salaud.

  38. I broke with my custom last night and watched CBS/Pravda “news.”

They heavily featured this moslem invasion, and all the images they selected were of (a) anguished family men and mothers; (b) tons of children, the cuter the better; and (c) lots of moslems shooting the peace sign[TM] at the leftwing nutjobs’ cameras (“Hey, man, guess who we’ll vote for when you import us!”).

That is how the lickspittle media are presenting this “tragedy.” I was actually laughing at the amazing number of blonde, blue-eyed darling tots they showed; also, mostly little girls. Who but a grinch could object to such adorable, HARMLESS waifs?

The finishing touch was the dewy-eyed “reporter” who could barely suppress her tears of sympathy as she did the stand-up in front of this teeming mass of humanity.

  39. The latest from Trump re the crisis:

“Well, it’s a serious problem. We haven’t seen anything like it since the Second World War, and it’s getting worse and worse. And I was actually impressed, in one way, but surprised that Merkel in Germany allowed this to happen, because they’re really flowing through all over Europe. And, if you notice, Russia’s not taking, and China’s not taking, and the Gulf states, whether you look at Saudi Arabia, or Qatar, or any of them, they’re taking none, but some of them are, and some of them are actually being very generous. It just – really, I wonder, you know, where all these people are coming from, exactly, and what are they representing. Because, do you have people from ISIS in that group? You know, there’s a lot of security risks with it. But, something has to be done. It’s an unbelievable humanitarian problem.”

  42. One of the reasons why I was pushing for accelerated confrontation with the Left is because if Americans don’t conduct a Civil War 2 soon after 2007, as saw I it, then what ends up happening is this:

By the time people do come into open conflict with the Leftist alliance in the US, both factions will be weakened, and then Islamic Jihad takes over the nukes in Europe and uses it to obliterate both the Leftist alliance’s assets as well as the patriotic anti leftists in America.

Time has run out. Time was running out years ago.

In a 3 way world war, our side cannot sit around talking about peaceful reforms. There is no time for that. There never was.

  43. Islamic Jihad cannot be destroyed or even pushed back, without killing the Leftist alliance’s power base.

It’s just not do able any other way. People don’t have a choice about it, no matter what their wealth or political influence is. It’s not only because the Left is allied with Islamic Jihad, it’s because whatever the Left does has a tendency of multiplying the power of Islam, and vice a versa. Even in an even free for all between Western loyalists, Leftist death cultists, and Islamic Jihadists, the West would still be at a disadvantage because of the existence of the third leg, Leftist death cultists. Cut them off and the strategic plane becomes simplified with better odds. So long as they exist, they are a threat, one that cannot even be managed due to Islam. And Islam cannot be managed due to the Left.

They ensure each other’s power flow so to speak, in the West. Even if they were to fight against each other, that doesn’t mean the Left will stop sabotaging us. Nor does it mean resources going into fighting the Left, will magically duplicate itself and stop Islam at the same time.

  44. There have been more than a few videos of the bad manner, threatening behavior, violence and outrageousness of these…migrants posted online.

Scouring further LINKS above, I do believe one could start a new blog site assembling all such gems of behavior.

Why now? My guess is that Leftists are scared of the nationalist outrage coming their way. In other words, it’s because the traitors in charge of ruling Europe, know that nationalistic movements are on the rise, fast, everywhere in Europe.

So, they need to apply their favorite formula, which is, “if the people don’t vote like we’d want, then let’s change the people!”

I know a lot of people today think it’s a sophisticated brand new idea, but, actually, the Emperor Valens was persuaded by his courtiers in the 376 A.D. that helping a million German barbarians, desperately fleeing the vicious Huns, cross the Danube into Roman territory was going to help restock the Roman treasury and revibrantize Roman demographics.”

  48. Soros is rather high on the threat list to Western patriots and loyalists.

A lot of what the Left accuses their enemies of, should actually be looked into for the Left is behind most of it. Including so called “global conspiracies” that are united with wealth.

  49. Much of the reason why nationalist and pride based organizations in Europe are back on the rise is because they offer something very essential that families want.

    Security.

The European martial arts are being revived and utilized to defend their own neighborhoods from crime. And seeing Americans and Gurkhas carve up Islamo fascists in France, only gives them an example to mimic. So it is not merely the rhetoric or the propaganda of a Nazi regime, it is grassroots martial art clubs, started by one person, and drawing in more and more males and females attached to families.

As the threat grows, so will the demand for the service of what caused holy knight orders to crop up. Those that defend the faithful. Except now there’s no distinction between nobles, merchants, serfs, and the militia. Social barriers slowed the growth of knight orders and cracked their power when their feudal holdings were taken away, they also got a little bit too corrupt and less martial based.

Soon blades and armor will need to be used. They won’t be very effective against firearms, but the police and army will have those, the Islamic jihadists will be using rather more primitive weapons to create Rape Houses, rape squads, and death squads in Europe.

  50. https://ymarsakar.wordpress.com/2015/06/04/4149/

Shows why the Russians are hard to invade. They create resistance movements from the ground up, starting early. Got to get to them while they are young.

Which is why Islamo fascists target girls younger than 14.

The Russians came from a nomadic people, which are even more strength based than the tribals. The Huns came from the same general area. The fundamental issue with tribal and nomadic societies is that they rely on strong men and even strong women, to hold a dynasty up. There is no Rule of Law. When wedded with Islam, which provides the stability that most tribals and nomadic societies lack, you get something extremely powerful in history.

But nomadic warrior groups and tribals are also the ones who fought the hardest against the Islamic Jihad.

On current trends, the petro states may start breaking down// breaking up — just in front of the American election.

Already civil strife has erupted in Turkey, sponsored by Erdogan — no doubt about that.

    BHO has enabled Erdogan.

Pakistan has unleashed drone warfare in the FATA.

    (Federally Abandoned Tribal Anarchy)

All the world expects blow-back from the drugged, drug-running fanatics and their suicide-orphan brigade.

I’d be VERY surprised if ISIS doesn’t infiltrate suicide-jihadis into Iran via the Herat corridor. For it must be plain that the primary force sustaining Assad in the field is Hezbollah, Iran’s Shi’ite foreign legion.

Even a trickle of suicide-jihadis would have Tehran in a complete uproar.

The most obvious target: the mullah’s purse — Kharg Island.

“In 2009, Iran exported and swapped 950 million barrels of crude oil via southern Kharg oil terminal.” wiki

Do the math. Kharg has been fully restored to its status as Iran’s primary export terminal. This effort was compulsory as VLCC can’t dock at any other Iranian terminal.

ISIS is the ONLY military force that doesn’t give a d$#@ if Iran retaliates — as Iran is already ‘all in.’

  65. Taking out Kharg Island is a great idea. Don’t have to bomb the Iran nuke sites, either. Kill Iran by blasting Kharg! I love it.
If Iran does pipelines, bomb them. Easy.

  66. Paul Mirengoff at Powerline weighs in with another very interesting aspect of all this — Why does Germany want so many refugees?:

I don’t doubt that there is a humanitarian component to Merkel’s decision [to take in so many refugees], and in some respects her willingness to take in so many refugees is a feel good story. But keep in mind that Germany has an economic interest in bringing in young workers, and that this interest isn’t mirrored in many other EU member states.

Germany faces a severe labor shortage, both short-term and long-term. A study by the Robert Bosch foundation suggested that Germany’s workforce could shrink by about 6 million by 2030.

The main cause of the labor shortage is, as one would expect, population decline. …

It’s fair to question, therefore, whether Germany is motivated primarily by altruism in agreeing to take in millions of immigrants and whether it is being reasonable in expecting other nations, especially struggling ones, to take in a significant number of them.

It is also fair to question Merkel’s bargain from a German point of view, though the answer must be supplied by Germans. Yes, the immigrants will help solve the labor and population shortfall. But they will also transform the nature of Germany, as Merkel acknowledges.

Do Germans want the transformation that’s in store?
