What are the roots of the stabbing intifada?
Jeffrey Goldberg takes a long time to say it, but he gets most of it said. It’s not a “cycle of violence” where both sides are similar. One side is lying and inciting its people to violence, and this has been going on at least since the 1920s in similar fashion. The current dispute concerns the history of the Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock, and access to the sites.
The NY Post says it more succinctly, and adds a few more things, such as the latest incident of what one might call the Muhammed al Durah phenomenon, complete with the cooperation of our State Department in the lies being told:
…Wednesday…Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said in a speech that Israeli security forces “executed” an innocent 13-year-old boy, Ahmad Mansara, “in cold blood.”
The story has fueled Palestinian anger for days. A photo of a bleeding Mansara, lying on the ground, filled social networks and gave birth to endless angry tweets. It also, apparently, informed official statements, including at the State Department, denouncing “excessive use of force” by Israel.
What’s wrong with this picture? This:
Far from innocent, Mansara, along with his 19-year-old brother, was on a knifing rampage. Video footage from closed-circuit security cameras shows them stabbing an Orthodox Jew and then a Jewish child who left a store on his bicycle. Only later, when Mansara tried to attack two policemen, was he shot down.
Oh, and Mansara was far from “executed.” On Thursday, the government issued a photo of him being treated in an Israeli hospital.
But as Churchill said, the lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. Nowadays, a lie gets all the way around the world, aided by the speed and scope of modern media.
Lies are very effective, and Big Lies often most effective of all.
Let’s clear up what’s really happening. From Goldberg’s article:
The current “stabbing Intifada” now taking place in Israel””a quasi-uprising in which young Palestinians have been trying, and occasionally succeeding, to kill Jews with knives””is prompted in good part by the same set of manipulated emotions that sparked the anti-Jewish riots of the 1920s: a deeply felt desire on the part of Palestinians to “protect” the Temple Mount from Jews.

Arabs are convinced that Israel is set on destroying, desecrating or “Judaizing” Haram al-Sharif, the Jerusalem compound that includes al-Aqsa, Islam’s third-holiest site. As Abbas indelicately put it in a mid-September speech, the Jews are trying to “defile al-Aqsa with their filthy feet,” and must be stopped.
Israel points out that the arrangements that have existed since 1967, when it seized control of the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, are intact, and will remain so: A Jordanian trust, the Waqf, maintains the Mount.
Jews can visit, but not pray there…
Once Abbas presented his al-Aqsa “narrative” in September, Palestinian youths heeded his call to spill blood for Jerusalem. They drove cars into pedestrians at bus stops, cut down passers-by with knives, meat cleavers and screwdrivers and otherwise attempted to kill Jews.
Here’s how the State Department has been complicit in furthering the Palestinian narrative:
Enter State Department spokesman John Kirby, who said Wednesday, “certainly, the status quo has not been observed, which has led to a lot of the violence.”
Come again? That factually challenged statement followed Secretary of State John Kerry, who has his own “narrative”: Israeli settlement expansion is responsible for the violence. (State later walked back Kerry’s statement.)
And after pressure from Israeli and Jordanian officials, Kirby also retracted, tweeting, “Clarification from today’s briefing: I did not intend to suggest that status quo at Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif has been broken.
Oh, really? Because what else did your words mean?
Let’s get it right. Palesteenies are good,but if you’re an Arab, don’t bring one home with you.

Taking out the Tomb of Joseph is OK, but Jews walking on Temple Mount with their “dirty feet” is bad.

The houris that the Islamic JIhadists are promised, as well as atonement and forgiveness for all sins, past and current, are not humans per say.
They are closer to angels, with hairless bodies, eternal youthful looks, and obedient temperaments.
One of the reasons Islam hates Western civilization is due to Western porn, because the image shown there is that of a houri, hairless except on the head, with proportions that go from average to above average. In Islam, the reward is designed to keep jihadists in check, and stop them from attacking Muslims (Shia vs Sunni doesn’t count, they don’t consider each other real muslims), diverting the jihadists to foreign countries.
So in this case, since people see houris in the Western tv, the Imams just decided they might as well send down their horde to Europe and see what happens.
So the Muslims in Europe are getting their “houri” quota right on Earth, and any sins or mistakes they made will be forgiven if they cut off an infidel’s head in Jihad.
It sounds pretty good to the Islamic secular and religious leaders back in their homelands.
Given polygamy, there’s not a lot of free women around for the young gens to marry. Even imported sex slaves from Africa have to be “shared” amongst a dynasty’s patriarchs.

The Arabs are projecting their own behavior onto other people. They know what they would do if the situation were reversed and fear the the Jews will do to them what they would do to the Jews if they could. A case in point is the church Hagia Sophia in Istanbul (formerly Constantinople) which has been polluted and Islamized by Muslim invaders.
Islam converted by the sword and destroyed North Africa. They also destroyed Zoroastrian knowledge and people, including the religion, in Persia.
They also caused Hindu widows to burn themselves, to prevent being taken as sex slaves by the Islamic Horde.
The Islamic Jihad knows very well how to take an area over.
Some people say the Hagia Sophia is not a mosque but a museum. I say it doesn’t matter. If they decided to put a small mosque in there that tourists weren’t allowed in, would anyone know? No, they wouldn’t know, and they wouldn’t be able to say anything about it either.

The hate must be kept alive, periodic intifadas are the prefered methodology to keep each young generation properly ‘motivated’.

I think we should stop immediately this wave of incitement against Israel and these attacks…I’m willing to meet him, he’s not willing to meet me,” he continued.

One might wonder how a BBC reporter could possibly fail to understand the actual situation. Certainly intellectually, leftist dogma is in play but at base, appeasement is the emotional motivation. They desperately hope that the Islamic beast “slouching toward Bethlehem” will be satiated with a new, ‘successful but limited’ “final solution”.
And willfully blind to the utter insatiability of all totalitarian ideologies. Unconcerned with the future world that their descendents will inherit because to such as they, only their own egoistic existence has any real meaning to them.

Hadassah Medical Center issued an update Sunday morning on the conditions of the terror victims currently being treated at Hadassah Ein Kerem and Hadassah Mount Scopus in Jerusalem. The 20-year-old IDF soldier who was stabbed by an Arab terrorist in Hevron on Saturday evening is now in light condition after undergoing surgery overnight. Two patients remain hospitalized after suffering wounds in the brutal knife and gun attack on Tuesday aboard a bus traveling in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood. A 76-year-old man remains in critical condition from that attack, while a 69-year-old woman’s condition has been defined as moderate.
