Bob Dole endorses Jeb Bush: with help like this…

Former U.S. Sen. Bob Dole has endorsed Jeb Bush for president and will serve as the former Florida governor’s National Veterans’ Chairman, according to the campaign.
Dole said that while almost all of the candidates are his friends, he believes Bush is the most qualified…
“I will do all I can to be helpful to Jeb’s campaign,” Dole promised.
Helpful? Staying quiet might have been most helpful. But I believe Bush is beyond help.
Bush was already persona non grata among conservatives, and originally the candidate of choice for establishment types. But even the latter have been deserting him because (as I wrote a year and a half ago) he’s the candidate without a constituency.
Well, he’s still got one: Bob Dole. I’ve nothing special against Dole, but his stamp of approval on the nearly-moribund Bush campaign seems to me to be a sign that it’s circling the drain.
I am of the opinion that Jeb! will be utterly humiliated when voting begins.
An indication of just how out of touch Bob Dole, Jeb Bush and the GOP establishment is, so out of touch that profound denial can be the only explanation.

Having a winner like Dole on his team is bound to invigorate his campaign. That demonstrates his excellent judgment or something. Seriously, what is he thinking?

That woman who asked Trump the feminist question was one of the volunteer interns for Bush. She wasn’t paid. See this for more. She “has also attended events with candidates like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders” and apparently queried Sanders. The Bush campaign denies sanctioning her question for Trump, which may or may not be true.
Why did Bob Dole endorse Jeb Bush?
Because Bush begged him.
When I saw “Bob Dole” was trending on twitter this morning my first thought was, “How sad that Bob Dole is dead.”

When I first saw the headline that Dole was endorsing Bush, I thought the piece was from the Onion because I didn’t know that Dole was still alive. I thought he’d already died.
One of my earliest predictions was that Jeb wouldn’t last halfway through the primaries. His showing will be that bad.
Bob Dole, God bless him this Veterans Day, is more alive than Jeb’s campaign.
