Not bad. If she keeps this up she might match a long-lost, much lamented US pop star of the first order, self-described as “a drummer who could sing too”.

While her voice was luminous, I never saw Karen look as flat-out happy as she did here with sticks in hand. What a tragic loss for those of us who love truly gifted pop singers. This time of year KC’s “Merry Christmas Darling” is in heavy rotation on my PC.
When I was five I could tie my shoes. Still can!
Almost makes one believe in reincarnation. Where does such talent come from at that age? Life is full of mysteries and this is just another one of many.

Scott– Every time I hear a Carpenter’s song on the radio, I’m overwhelmed with sadness and anger. I don’t quite understand the anger part; I guess I’m just mad because her great talent was taken from us way too soon. Merry Christmas Darling still brings a tear to my eye.

Actually almost all five year old kids like to pound on drums.
Which is why every relative or friend threatened to kill me if I actually went through with it and bought their kid a set of drums for Christmas.
I’m going to bookmark this video and show it to them. And berate them for letting their children’s talents go undiscovered just because they didn’t want to get woken up at 5:00am on a Saturday or deal with the cops when their neighbors complained about the noise.
This could have been their child prodigy!
