  1. I had not heard that about him being a Walmart security guard! Crazy!!!
Do they know yet if he continued to be simpatico with Farook, or if he drifted of and was surprised when Mr. and Mrs. F did their little escapade? I am curious as to whether it was cold feet or whether he got “unradicalized” and assumed they did, too. But I haven’t read anything one way or the other. It’s important for us to figure out whether making radical plans they never intend to carry out is a “thing,” or whether people get enthusiastic about it for a short period of time, or whether once you’re planning this you’re always planning it.

  2. Marquez admitted to a plan to close “the 91” freeway, which connects the Los Angeles basin with Riverside County, and beyond; then slaughter motorists as they leave their cars. (although Californians probably would not think anything unusual if traffic came to a stand still) But, that was getting personal because we drive “the 91”–or sit on it–frequently. .

Big news in the “Inland Empire” of California today (yes, it is actually called that).

The First Vacationers dropped into San Bernardino on their way to Hawaii to comfort the grieving; and get some photo ops.

Headlines and front page pictures in the local rag.

Much praise for his selflessness in interrupting his vacation trip for three precious hours. Fortunately, San Bernardino would be right along the route, so there was little additional impact to the already massive hit the climate endures whenever he and his massive support train move.

  3. So once again a “citizen” rather than the entire DHS/TSA/NSA spying apparatus identified the perps.

  4. DHS TSA is watching the real threats… you know, US citizens. The real threats. US patriots. The REAL threats, come on, they are dangerous people.

  5. Several, SEVERAL years ago, before 9/11, i read an article about Hispanics (especially women!?) converting to Islam because, they “felt” it was a “return” to their more “authentic” identity — that Christianity was falsely imposed by the Castile-Aragon conquest of the Iberian peninsula. Apparently, the Arab and North African conquerors and what they did was more “authentic” to the Spanish Identity, than the Visigothic Christianity that predated it, and also more “authentic” than the 700 year struggle of the Reconquista (by Spanish warriors) against Moslem Rule.

  6. Slave mentality never goes away. These days though, Western civ likes to call that “freedom”.
