  1. I spent 8 hours today knocking on doors over 3 of Iowa’s 99 counties for the Cruz campaign. Caucus in 28 days, politics never sleeps.

  2. neo, I thought maybe you might find of interest this reader comment on the Instapundit entry, “NO. NEXT QUESTION?: Can Jeb Bush Make a Comeback?” from today, January 4th. The commenter, “tdiinva”, mentions Scott Walker, whom you thought could make a very good President. Here’s the comment:

    BEGIN PASTE

Jeb’s biggest problem is that he would be the third Bush in most people’s life time. He could have the same views as Ted Cruz and he would still be underwater.

The desire for a “larger than life” leader is another sign of the waning of real conservatism in the Republican Party. Conservatives do not want a President who “can get things done.” At best we want him to undo things. That’s why Scott Walker disappeared. He was a boring guy who got things undone in Wisconsin. He was the most authentic conservative in the race.

  3. “Although my fingers are just itching…”

There’s a salve for that. Spread it on thick.

  4. Over at Power Line Martin O’Malley refused to answer my question on whether the FBI should tell the American people whether it asked DOJ to indict Hillary.

    Tonight is Ted.

    Tomorrow Hillary.

  5. Itchin’ for a *itchin’

I can’t vote for Hillary, Sanders (any Democrat) or Trump or Rubio.

Who does that leave me? Carson or Cruz

There is 2 c’s in compassionate conservative.
Can I ask one question? Why does everyone say that Cruz can’t get along with anyone?

I had so much hope for Paul Ryan. No I have zero hope in him. If Paul Ryan can’t get along with Cruz – how does that make it a bad thing for Cruz….
Maybe Cruz has the right philosophy because Ryan sure didn’t.
