Goering’s brother — 9 Comments

  1. The second link gives the background and is indeed a fascinating story. At the bottom of the Wiki article is a link to a list of the Germans who resisted the Nazi’s and there were hundreds, who in turn must have been assisted, to at least some degree by thousands of Germans.

  2. Let us all hope that we would have done the same as Albert in like circumstances, and pray that we may never find out.

The eldest hath borne most, we that are young/Shall never see so much, or live so long.

  3. Stranger yet still, bad Hermann ALSO systematically saved many Jews — particularly his Jewish cronies.

He was behind the whole Aryanization scheme, which started to protect his right-hand man, Milch.

Yet bad Hermann’s signature was found in Nazi archives — personally authorizing Operation Reinhard.

His signature was needed as he wore many hats — and his top position was not as head of the Luftwaffe.

It was as head of the Nazi economy. Adolf entrusted all state economic affairs to Goering — specifically to include forced labor manpower.

When Speer geared up the Nazi war machine — he did so in tandem with Goering.

Speer’s primary ‘customer’ in early 1943 was the Luftwaffe — then the Heer and the Kriegsmarine.

That priority stayed straight through the end of the war, hence the explosive growth in German aircraft production — using staggering numbers of ‘imported’ — impressed — forced laborers.

Milch was up past his eyeballs in all of this.

For some reason the staggering crime of this slave empire gets lets press than Oscar’s crew.

The Nazis had gutted the economies of all Europe — by stealing their productive citizens by the thousands.

This entire mass enterprise was the primary duty of the General SS.

Every dang day, trainloads of new, trapped, workers were shunted into Germany. There they were treated like dogs.

They repaid the Nazis by screwing up every possible military product.

Every single German tank recovered and restored — decades after the war — shows multiple — but subtle — sabotages — usually in the lubrication.

This goes a long way towards explaining why the Germans couldn’t keep Tiger and Panther battalion fighting for any length of time. It was common for them to lose 20% per day — just driving around — to ‘mechanical’ faults.

These faults were ‘cured’ by putting ever increasing numbers of SS men on the factory floors. It became common practice for these fellas to pull suspects aside — brutalize them — and shoot them right then and there. This was hoped to inspire the rest of the assembly line.

    &&&&

Every time you look, every where you look, the Nazi state just gets worse and worse and worse.

  4. Blert, this is also true not only for Nazi state, but for every totalitarian state in general. They all are not so bad as they seem, but actually much worse.

  5. Well, Mama Goering went back to Germany in mid-1894 and little was Albert born March 9 1895. Just barely enough time for Papa Goering to not be the father, depending on what is meant by “mid-1894”.
