How incompetent were the Brussels authorities?
There are some rather large security holes through which the Belgium terrorists slipped. For example, as in many other recent European attacks, the perpetrators were “known wolves”:
All three of the suspects, each Belgian citizens, had been alerted to Belgian officials prior to the attacks and were on a U.S. counterterrorism watch list. Police agency Interpol issued a “red notice” for Najim Laachraoui, saying he was wanted for involvement in association with terrorism and the unauthorized engineering of explosives.
Ibrahim El Bakraoui had been detained in Turkey as a foreign terrorist fighter last June and deported back to Europe.Turkey says the Belgian authorities failed to confirm the suspect’s jihadist links and released him.
In addition, there seems to be an unusual degree of denial, fragmentation, and confusion in Belgium:
On February 29, EU security agencies called for an immediate overhaul of the security measures at Belgian airports and borders, which were “wide open” to access by terrorists and lacked the tools for inspecting passengers on arrival and departure. These inclue Brussels’ second airport in Charleroi, the terminus for charter flights to and from Algeria, Tunisia and Turkey.
Although the Belgian authorities were warned that Charleroi presented Isil terrorists with an open door from those countries into Europe, passengers passing through were still not subjected to searches…
Critics have argued that the nation’s fragmented law enforcement and political systems ”” divided in part because of power splits between the two main language groups, French and Flemish ”” have helped extremists and criminal gangs operate with near impunity. Greater Brussels, for instance, is divided into 19 communes and six separate police zones. Belgium’s 10 provinces are split into almost 600 municipal councils.
The best of defenses is also denied Belgian citizens — relentless, savage offense.
If the dhimmies insists Islam is a morally equivalent ideology with ChristoWestern societies, then Muslims should be expected to behave as reasonably, politely, tolerantly as your run of the mill nominal Anglican, Presbyterian, Lutheran, or Catholic (well maybe not Catholic — Crusades and all that stuff).
Rather than having ‘them’ (all of them including obsequious dhimmies) telling Belgians how to feel about muzzies, tell them what a free people think of head-chopping, hand and foot lopping, stoning, acid tossing, camel-piss drinking, goat-molesting, female (babies to women) and boy raping bearded savages whose Allah makes Satan seem positively saintly.

I’ve never been to Brussels, but once on a trip to northern France, my husband and I took the beltway around Brussels. It was horrible. A women driving ahead of us in our lane pulled over to the side and somehow got her car turned around so it headed in the wrong (our) direction. I’ll never go near that road or the city again.
You have to figure than any city that holds all those EU bureacrats has to be pretty screwed up. It doesn’t surprise me that they can’t followup on terrorists.
Bruges, on the other hand,is fantastic. Among other things, every other shop sells chocolates. The museums are also great. Just bypass Brussels if you drive there.

This is the NORM in Sweden.
In these highly socialist states, employers go straight to the government controlled apprentice programs to hire.
They never hire ‘off-the-street.’
As you might imagine, the migrants can’t qualify to even enter the apprenticeship programs — as they fall down flat on language skills — and the local economy is not growing to speak of.
A static economy means that jobs are handed down — practically father to son — and all outsiders are — de facto — excluded.
You’ll find that an American with a PhD in chemical engineering can’t be hired in Germany. His C.V. is all wrong.
This goes even further… as Bavarians are not employed over in Berlin… Sicilians can’t find work in Rome or Milan… etc.
So you have the MOST rigid, no-growth, labor market requiring high levels of skill and local connections importing millions of economic parasites that will never be let in on ‘the game.’
The result is a pandemic of “activism” — for Shariah — the rule book for a parasitic caste of do-nothings.
There’s a real reason the 57 Muslim states are economic Hell holes.
No-one can be productive kissing Allah’s tush five times a day… and while blaming Allah for every omission of man.
The culture gap is more towards 12,000 years than 1,200 years.
If some Christians did in a Muslim country what some Muslims just did in Belgium, there would already have been a massive, anti-Christian pogrom in that country and, probably, every other Muslim country around the world. Most likely, the Muslims would target other non-Muslim minorities at the same time, as well as such groups as the Ahmadies, whom Muslims consider heretics.
If Muslim terrorism keeps up, with the governing classes doing nothing effective about it, such actions might start happening in Western countries. If Muslims in the West don’t want that to happen they must come forward, publicly and forcefully, to oppose and fight the jihadists. I think they will not, because the jihadists can cite sura and verse of the Quran and the rest of Muslim law to justify their actions in Islamic terms.
If Western nations want to stop Islamic jihad’sts’ terrorism (and prevent such a scenario as I mentioned above) they must take the offensive against the jihadists. A start would be wiping out ISIS. And, to be blunt, the US will have to do the heavy lifting once again. It will take “boots on the ground” and more besides. Otherwise we are sitting around scratching ourselves while our enemies gain strength and join together to damage us, if not destroy us.
The generation that learned from the run up to WWII that we need to work to make some kind of decent order in the world or others will make an inimical one has just about passed from the scene. We are now led by people who think we can sit around and not pay attention to what is happening in the world and still be safe, ’cause it’s all far away and doesn’t mean anything to us dontcherknow. But it does.
Nasty of me, I know, but maybe the cops thought it was about top guys diddling kids a la Marc Dutroux. And so, of course, they ignored it.

It’s really scary how the do-gooders ignore dangers in their midst. It’s also scary how many subscribe to the out-of-sight-out-of-mind type of thinking. If these lazy “intellectual” types would actually interact a bit with some of the immigrants, lower class, or blacks, they might be able to come up with some ways to combat the disintegration of our society. But of course, that’s not as important as signalling their moral superiority.
That is, in part, what frustrates me about the Trumpsters. They are just as unwilling to explore matters and challenge their own beliefs as the upper east siders. After reading that NYT article, can they really support Trump’s idea of dropping out of NATO. We will have to work alongside all of our allies to confront the challenges we face.

How many of the Belgian security personnel are Muslim? More than a few, I would guess. How many of those would use their position to protect jihadists? At least a few, I would guess. The obvious failures of Belgian security is probably explained by the number of people within the security agencies who wanted it to fail.

A self-described “Moroccan living in the UK” has been appointed serjeant at arms at the House of Commons, a role which requires him to sit in the Chamber and carry the mace. Kamal El-Hajji, the first non-white in the 600 year old post, will take up the job with “the help of Allah”.
The serjeant at arms is responsible for security and keeping order within the Commons part of the parliamentary estate, as well as playing an historic ceremonial role in life of the Parliament. In return, he is remunerated with a salary of £80,000 plus a grace and favour property on the parliamentary estate, meaning that Mr El-Hajji will be living within the grounds of Britain’s Parliament.
However, questions regarding his suitability have been raised following a number of questionable tweets, now deleted from his account.

In a tweet directed to a Moroccan politician he made the same point again, tweeting: “It’s a pleasure to follow you sir, as a Moroccan living in UK, who is proud and loyal to both kingdoms.” That tweet has now been deleted.
And he has flown in the face of civil service convention by using Twitter to assert his political stance. In April, he took to the site to wish Sadiq Khan, Labour’s candidate for London Mayor good luck in the contest, tweeting “We have faith in you and we know you can do it”. Mr Khan, who stands to be the first Muslim mayor of London if successful, has also provoked controversy by lobbying, both as an attorney and as a politician, on behalf of known and suspected terrorists. Last week, I reported about the first American city in history to elect a Muslim majority City Council. Well, it didn’t take long for the Islamic supremacist aggression and hostility to surface – did it? It never does. Always conflict and strife.
A cell phone video, taken moments after Muslims received the word that they took over the city council, has surfaced of one of the organizers of the Muslim city council effort saying, “Today we show the Polish and everybody else…” The town has a large but shrinking Polish community.
How ugly. How fast.
They won – are they incapable of being gracious? Don’t answer that. The message is clear: non-Muslims move or else.
Yet when the Muslims gained control of the city council last week, a local reporter, Will Jones, summarized how immigrants had “dramatically changed the face and culture of this community,” and said exultantly, “Now, the Hamtramck City Council is going to reflect that diversity.”
What’s diverse about a Muslim majority? Is there anything less diverse and more oppressive than Islamic law? What Muslim countries are diverse? Muslims won’t even let Jews pray at the most holy of Jewish sites. Muslim countries under the sharia subjugate their religious minorities.

Non-Muslims should remember the lessons of Tower Hamlets. This London borough elected a Muslim mayor, Lutfur Rahman, who was ultimately removed from office by a judge “who ruled he had ‘cynically perverted’ the solidarity of Bangladeshi voters and made repeated claims of racism to silence critics.” Expect the same in Hamtramck.
