  1. BTW, I’m not some conspiracy theorist, such as thinking the MSM all are in cahoots – they are not, just a collection of individuals who are biased / motivated by their culture bubble.

However, one does have to wonder.

It is possible / probable that there are some elements who knowingly do such things. One only needs to look at Claire McCaskell’s admittance to her involvement on Akin’s behalf in his run for GOP nomination for Senate candidacy.

I also wonder about the massive 2008 small donation campaign funding Obama received via China originated IPs, using credit cards without the CSV security number. Something that seems to have “died” as a news item.

  2. If it is a possibility in this election cycle then it’s most likely that there is a plethora of skullduggery being done by, or for, most all of this sorry, noisome, lot of candidates. If you can imagine it, you can be sure they are doing it.

  3. Putin wants Trump to win.

The LAST thing he wants is Ted Cruz.

As for Putin’s attitude WRT Hillary — she’s a ‘cowgirl’ — who has an itchy trigger — and who is a known ” get evener ” personality.

Putin has, without a doubt, profiled all of the key players.

After the OSS’s profile of Adolf Hitler proved to be sooo prophetic — all of the world’s intelligence agencies adopted the practice.

Ted Cruz profiles as hyper smart and doctrinal.

Putin will not be able to ‘shift’ Ted.

Whereas Donald is VAIN — and seriously over confident — about himself — and his genius in negotiations.

  4. Neo:
“I don’t know whether the Trump campaign pays for this sort of thing, or whether it’s instead a function of the alt-right activists doing it themselves.”

    blert:
    “Putin wants Trump to win.”

It’s striking how much the alt-Right worldview and propaganda about America’s role in the world order accord with the Russian worldview and propaganda about America’s role in the world order.

  5. Eric, I’ve noticed the same thing at zerohedge. I read the articles when warranted, but skip the comments.

  6. I also have noticed that at Zerohedge. I always assumed a bunch of them were European cynics, but they don’t seem quite sophisticated enough for that. They have a paranoid strain in them like that of 4Chan and Infowars.

I will say that the behavior of most financial power players lends itself to that interpretation.

  7. It seems likely that a certain portion of the Trump supporter’s comments are an organized effort to dominate and mislead. But the majority of the comments I suspect come from those who think that he who shouts loudest wins, which is perfectly in keeping with Trump’s M.O.

    Birds of a feather…

  8. GB…

I’d swear on a stack of Bibles that Putin — and others — are messing with the campaign — and the vote.

Half a century ago the CIA and KGB fought over Italy and France.

    So…

This is not a novel combat.

  9. Although I am presently inclined to favor Cruz over Trump, I think I am open to being convinced in favor of Trump. But I find the arguments of the Trumpites, at best, dubious. My bottom line is: “Which candidate is best for liberty?” In other words: “which candidate is the least statist and the closest to a libertarian?” The Trumpites who address this question either give me some weasel answer or–in cases when they’re being honest–say, in effect, “Liberty is over-rated.” Doesn’t make me want to man the barricades for The Donald.
