This may be just the yard sign for you — 16 Comments

  1. I prefer “Hillary for Prison” or “Trump for Television”

Sigh….I’m still going to vote for the stoner.

  2. This reminded me of the slogan for the 2008 election, “We’re Screwed”. Slightly less coarse than the new one, but I guess we’re eight years further down the hole.

  3. s1c – How does “vote for the crook” help you narrow things down in Louisiana?

  4. Don’t you think that most Americans are good people who are just trying to get along with their lives as best they can? I have trouble believing that most Americans think their neighbors suck (with a few exceptions in my neighborhood). Sure, they think that professional politicians suck, which is pretty much true. I mean, what kid grows up thinking, “I’d like to be a politician”? Well sure, there are the Elsworth Tooheys among us who have no skills at producing anything of value, so they decide to manipulate other people in order to survive. Generally, I don’t think most people are evil and just don’t rate politics very high on their day-to-day priority lists. This is a mistake.

  5. I recently ordered a custom t-shirt with my preference. True, it requires a knowledge of the HBO series Deadwood, but nothing’s perfect:

    E.B. Farnum – 2016
    (We could do worse)

  6. “Vote like this election matters – because it does.
“Vote like your vote matters – even though it doesn’t.”

My interpretation of the sign is that the “everybody” in it does refer to politicians. It’s a campaign sign, after all, on the order of “Hillary 2016” or “Romney 2012” or “I Like Ike 1952.”

  8. A 3rd option is realistic this time, but the prerequisite for it is collective commitment to social activism, then candidate.

  9. I have long voted not for the best or better candidate, but for the less bad candidate.

  10. How about a movie themed ad like “we don’t need no stinkin’ President”.

    Just thinkin’.
