Yes, it is Wiest who is best remembered for the Woody Allen movie already mentioned above, and also her role in Parenthood as Steve Martin’s wife. She also did a couple of seasons of Law and Order as the DA between those portrayed by Steven Hill and Fred Thompson.
The resemblance between the two is quite eerie.

The concept is to introduce photos of two famous people who look alike even though they’re not related, and even though you may have never noticed the resemblance before. It’s a regular feature on my blog.
In this post, there are photos of 2 different actresses (2 photos for each) who I think look alike.
I recognize none of them. Which bothers me not at all.

Yes, you are correct. It has been too long since I have seen that movie, apparently.
I don’t see them as all that similar save for the expression. Try Joe Don Baker and Fred Thompson sometime.
All this does is show ignorance of the fact that new songs contain snips of old songs to make them new AND familiar, and that actresses and actors are chosen for being in apeparance like past stars or even past iconic type rolls. which is why when a new kind hits the scene its a big deal
if you watch old movies, you would get this easy as you catalogue the “replacements”… [even funnier, they are also often children under other names that we no longer follow the lineage]
there are even B versions of A actors that you can hire cheaper for your movie if you cant get the A
