Details yet to emerge in Quebec mosque shooting that killed six

We don’t know much yet about the perpetrators in a horrific and deadly attack on a Quebec mosque that left six dead and many wounded. Reports are that there were two and perhaps three shooters, but we know that such reports can be erroneous. At first it was said there were two in custody, one with a French name and one Moroccan, but the latest reports are that it’s only the man with the French name who is the suspect, and the other man was a witness.

Reports at the moment also indicate that the one perpetrator they have in custody is somewhat of a Dylan Roof type of hater, but even that is subject to revision. Who the other or others might be is completely unknown. But since the alleged perp is in custody, it shouldn’t be long before we learn more.

Oh, and already lots of people are blaming it on Trump, of course.

  1. Yancey Ward Says:

Given the targets and the location, it was unlikely to be a Muslim who was doing the shooting. You are probably going to learn the shooter was known to mental health agencies in Quebec.

  2. Yancey Ward Says:

And, yes- Trump was going to get blamed no matter what. Here he will get blamed for inciting an anti-Muslim psychopath, and if the shooter had been a Muslim who shot up a Catholic church, Trump would have gotten blamed for that, too.

  3. Geoffrey Britain Says:

“lots of people are blaming it on Trump of course.” neo

Instead of on Trudeau and his ilk, where responsibility actually lies.

    Maybe Sunni v. Shia killing.

  5. Yancey Ward Says:

It is unlikely. I would give less than 1% chance that Bissonette was convert to Islam. Given they have already cleared the other guy, I think Bissonette acted alone.

  6. parker Says:

    We’ll see.

  7. Griffin Says:

Yep, this may be the first of the blame Trump for everything no matter how loose the connection. Obama on the other hand was just a bystander to everything.

Wonder what percentage of the big mainstream media people are aware and no they do this and how many are died in the wool believers.

  8. Cornhead Says:

    Yancey Ward

Early reports of two shooters with one named Mohammed. I was relying upon that.

More right than you might have realized. Another developmentally infantilized stunted-puberty type lashes out and then goes “Oops!”

27 years old. Boy faced without even sideburns growth. “Likes” Trump but also McCain, and the socialist NDP of Canada and the Parti Quebecois

Called police to say he felt guilty over what he had done.

Was some kind of junior Canadian Forces whatever. Picture of him on a horse while wearing a silly helmet.

A twin, and nerd, who was rarely seen with anyone but his doppelganger.

Blame it on the NDP and his abuse at the hands of Canadian Forces.

  10. Oldflyer Says:

    Plenty of speculation.
Interesting that it occurred in French Quebec in light of the Islamic generated turmoil in the native country. Connection?
How long before Obama and “Little” Trudeau cry out against Islamophobia? And comments are right on about who will bear the blame, because we know who the biggest Islamophobe is.
See? Anyone can join the speculation game.
Don’t know much about Canadian gun control; but assume it is rigid, since the U.S. is the only gun crazy culture in the developed world.

Regardless, it is a real shame if people peacefully worshiping, as is their right, are targeted.

This image say it all. Or nearly all.

Another twelve year old with matchstick arms murders a bunch of people ’cause … he’s not really sure why. Something to do with politics.

  12. Frog Says:

Apparently Bissonette was every kind of politically incorrect evil. And that is just so very yucky in Canada.

There is a bit of man-bites-dog tinge to this event.

  13. parker Says:

I have contacts who live in Montreal, they believe, to put it mildly, that the CBC is reporting is not accurate. Over the next 48 we’ll see.

  14. goldby621 Says:

I already saw somewhere some person demanding of Bret Baier (of FNC’s Special Report) that they correct onsite reporting as story unfolded as shooter was not a Muslim but an “American White Supremicist & Muslim hater.”
Baier had already clarified w/ on site reporter. But what does that tell you about the Left? making the news up before actual info is known and demanding corrections with their own made up facts? Such people condemn others for hating???!!

Off topic but current: While Obama’s appointed Acting Attorney Gen’l instructed US Justice Dept. lawyers to defy our new President’s Executive Order, the former Pres. has began issuing “official” comments Guess being irrelevant for a week drove him crazy! Couldn’t take a page from his own predecessor & withdraw into life as private citizen with grace and class. No real surprise.
Celebrarion of Sally Hayes as hero has already begun on MSM and their network-owned cable clones, I’m betting her real coming out will be on all the network Sunday talk shows.

(Can someone please explain to me why the min. Loretta Lynch walked out the door upon inauguration of new President, another political appointee/hack of former Pres. became acting AG? The US Justice Dept needs new name to reflect its now political identity as advocacy group which it became 8 yrs 8 ago having little to do with enforcing existing law w/ “justice” for all Americans be damned.

  15. Frog Says:

Gosh, CBC reporting is not accurate? But it is a government-controlled agency, a so-called “Crown Corporation” that is to serve the public interest.
    Kinda like NPR and PBS.
    Ha! To all three.

  16. Ymarsakar Says:

Islamic Jihad can enter the US from Canada or Mexico. Doesn’t matter if Trum builds a wall and blocks off Mexico.

Canada is perhaps easier to enter, since there are few cartels to block and kill Islamos.
