Let’s explore a different angle. That is, that all Islamist terrorism is the fault of misplaced machismo, broken masculinity, emasculation. This is a narrative that was taken seriously by several publications after the shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. (… 3 & 4)

Tons more. and the most common answer for feminists is its mens fault, the left says its mens fault, and on and on… but if the men did something then they would be racists… and more.

have fun with this, as these kinds of things have no counter… even + odd = odd… random + order = random… you cant refute a irrational with a rational that is not acceptable – even less if hey have had decades to normalize it under the radar

  2. After a series of seven different investigations, University of Notre Dame business professor James Wilkie and his colleagues found “the concepts of greenness and femininity are cognitively linked,” according to an abstract in the Journal of Consumer Research. That means many men – in deference to their “macho image” – will actively avoid green products and practices.

“Stereotypical feminine behavior and attitudes are more in parallel with taking care of the environment,” Wilkie told the Washington Post. “Male traits tend to conflict with this idea of maintaining a nice environment for other people.”

Ivy League colleges are engineering students to shut down free speech — even their own.

Colleges are socially engineering students to use fake pronouns.

Courses about “toxic masculinity” and “masculinity and violence” are being offered at several universities.

A college professor in Florida declared certain types of language offensive because it isn’t “inclusive” enough. Words like boyfriend/girlfriend and husband/wife had to be replaced with “partner”. “Mom” and “Dad” must be replaced with “family.”

Colleges and universities are spending a lot of time and effort on manipulating the minds of students by teaching them which words are “appropriate” to use. Some schools are even having students sign a pledge that they will use “inclusive” language.

This year, Merriam-Webster officially added “safe space” and “microaggression” to their dictionary, further legitimizing them.

  3. It is common to see police with full auto submachine guns in Paris and other major metro areas. La Rochelle, where we have good friends, cops are typically armed with semi auto handguns. When it comes to long guns, they are relatively common in the more rural areas. They are mostly bolt action rifles and double barrel shotguns. Compared to most of Western Europe, rural France is way ahead of the when it comes to armed peasants.

  4. Heh, the lame “Toxic Masculinity Did It!” explanation was just (again) proven false with the female jihadi who went berserk with a golf club in a Toronto store.

Of course women – and children – have participated in the jihad, sometimes voluntarily, sometimes against their will. It’s getting harder and harder to avoid the truth of who is attacking us and why.

  5. A hammer can be effective if the victim doesn’t see you winding up until too late. Key is not to look like a foaming at the mouth jihadi shouting allahu ackbar until you get to within three feet.
    IOW, forget it.

  6. I’ve been wondering if the British police even have tasers. This article from last December seems to indicate they do — or at least some of them do — but that the ones they have are outdated.

They really do seem to be living under an illusion about civility, etc. Or maybe it’s simply John Bull stubbornness.

  7. Studies have shown that a healthy young man 20 feet away, armed with a knife or a club, can reach the intended victim in 1.2 seconds. That is not enough time to unholster a sidearm and accurately aim or take off the safety and accurately aim a long gun..

  8. parker:

    Yes, I know.

The point is that, although the first victim of the attack may not have time to defend him/herself (as was the case here, as well), other officers nearby can shoot the perp in fairly short order, if they are armed.

  9. neo,

Police here do not typically patrol in 2s or 3s unless immediately after a tragic event. Given current circumstances, anyone rapidly approaching a cop without hands up should be considered a leathal threat. Micheal Brown learned that lesson the hard way.

In Paris you often see security patroling in groups of 2, 3, or 4 as a routine precaution. In the incident under discussion, I suspect there was a lack of situational awareness. Whether acknowledged or not, this is unconventional warfare.

  10. Loved the post.

I saw that P. Neville-Jones, the UK Security Minister has recommended (in the media) that all UK cops carry firearms. In the wake of the latest attack, is it true that PM T. May has stated her preference for the status quo?

  11. A couple of points–

First, all these attacks at tourist sites will inevitably result in decreased tourist revenue so, for the Muslim terrorists, it’s at least a twofer–spread terror, while also depressing what is a major source of national income for many countries.

Second, not only are British Police not usually armed, but I wonder how many Americans know that in some of the countries of Europe, the UK included, it is a prosecutable offense to criticize Islam. You can be arrested, tried, convicted, fined, and jailed, as some people have been.

Authorities in the UK now admit to having 23,000 potential Jihadis on their watch lists, with 3,500 of them of “special concern.” Moreover, in the wake of the recent attacks in Germany, it was said that security forces needed an estimated 60 people to keep track of just one suspect on a 24/7 basis.

Figure it out, the Brits are totally overwhelmed.

Moreover, so reflexively PC is England that in one of the videos of the London Bridge area bar where one of the Muslim attackers came in and stabbed a woman, and patrons threw chairs and bottles at him, someone also hurled an anti-Muslim epithet at the knife wielder, and was immediately told to stop it by one of the other patrons.

Finally, I note that yesterday on FOX a former Jihadi, in commenting on the London bridge attack, said that these attacks had now become so frequent and serious that what the UK is facing (and probably all of Europe, too, I’m guessing) is now an “insurgency” i.s. what is becoming a full blown attempt to overthrow the social order and government.

If things have indeed gotten to the stage where we are facing an insurgency, then we in the West will have to resort to anti-insurgency tactics, which will be far, far stronger and more violent that anything that has been tried so far.

  12. Yeah, I remember being in Paris train station when 3 armed Police or Soldiers came by. Two in front and one behind. Very serious dudes. Kind of like what was going on in UK during The Troubles. Looks like UK is going to have to change the way they do things. Too bad can’t have an Edward I.
Going to offend someone I am sure but too bad the attacker got shot in the leg(s). A body shot would have been better.

  13. it is a mistake to focus solely on the Muslim side of the equation. It is not so much the Islamists that we should be afraid of, it is the Globalist movement in the west that has allowed, and even fostered, those squalid barbarians to grow so dangerous and impudent.

  14. I worked in Berlin in the early 1980s and at the Tegel airport there were always lots of cops with dogs and submachine guns. After awhile you get used to seeing cops with automatic weapons.
