Good news and bad news on ISIS — 11 Comments

  1. I want to know the thinking and dialogue at the NYT that allowed the publication of that vital info. Any consideration given to the 9-11 dead? Any thought that this might help the enemy? Is ISIS considered to be the enemy? What role does Trump hatred play in all of this? Or do they even think about this at all? Who are these people other than Ivy Leaguers?

  2. To get excited over slicing off one of Medusa’s heads is to indicate a failure to appreciate the nature of the beast.

  3. I second cornhead’s motions. Is the NYT playing Sampson in the temple, blind and nihilistically pulling everything down around them?
Evil is afoot in the land. There is simply no other way to put it.

  4. If anyone does get around to prosecuting traitors again, I vote to put the NYT editors in the front of the line.

  5. The story has already fallen apart (click the link in the post for an update) but not before Trump joined in to slur the NYTimes.

Trump often accuses others of doing is what he is does himself.

  6. Manju:

The connection does appear a lot murkier, although the General did say what he was quoted as having said, and I’m assuming he based it on something. However, I’m willing to say that in this case Fox was probably wrong and the Times was most likely not guilty as accused.

They’re guilty of plenty else, though.

  7. They used to call Fox News, fake news. I wonder if Trum coined it back when he was Demoncrat light, since he used it to good affect against the other media once the sides were flip reversed.

  8. Will discussion of a “status of forces” (iirc, that is the term) in Iraq be regenerated by trump?

Seems that some level of forces on the ground might serve as a deterrent (though I’m no expert).

And, that was one of the things obama flubbed up, right?

  9. Trum has more Goldmansachs boys in his cabinet and Rothschilds and Federal Reserve allies, than the entirety of Cruz and Cruz’s wife’s entire clan lineage associations.

  10. It’ll depend on if it is profitable for another status of forces negotiation with Iraq and how that affects the war zones.
