  1. She speaks some sense, and gets hammered for doing so.

My whitebread hometown was split between old Yankees, Eastern European immigrants (circa 1920) and their offspring, and professionals from “away.” Throw in some Iron Curtain refugees. Not diverse at all. 🙂

And that was only the whites.

  2. Years ago, I was at a company management training class at which we had several outside speakers. One was a psychology professor of the Jungian persuasion. His point: You will be tempted to hire people with personalities similar to your own. Resist that temptation. Because if you give in to it, you will all have the same blind spots and you will all happily walk off the cliff together.

This Apple woman was making a very similar point..and (especially given that I currently hold some Apple stock) it is disturbing that top management of that company apparently rejects any concept of diversity other than race, sex, and sexual preference.

  3. Oh please… first of all this is a fake apology, secondly the holy grail of ‘diversity’ is BS. Companies should hire the best and brightest that bolsters the bottom line without any appeal to the grail of ‘diversity’. Let the cannibals consume themselves.

Ashes, ashes, they all fall down. Withdraw all financial support. Stop watching, stop clicking, move your money to banks and investments that do not buy into this BS. This is possible. Stop supporting the globalists, keep your money circulating in the local economy. Finally, move to the sane parts of flyover country. We need your skills, investments, and votes.

I remember studying “group think” in college in the seventies, with the Bay of Pigs debacle as one of the examples.
    So much for higher education…

  5. Nah, Neo, they don’t eat their own yet. They just kill them before birth. The curve of history is very long, but absent converts, by force if necessary to sustain numbers, the Left is committing suicide. The Left will simply run out of soldiers. That is why the Left insists on open borders.
Denise Young Smith looks brain-dead. She has her job only for one reason, and it is not intellect.

  6. Frog:

Oh, so now Frog can look at someone’s face and declare them “brain-dead”? She looks perfectly fine to me.

What’s more, she actually tried to say something that had some meaning and didn’t follow in lockstop with PC thought. For her pains she faced the social media whirlwind, and recanted. That certainly doesn’t make her brain-dead.

  7. IMO she got caught in the Damore Paradox: you think you are saying something sensible about a serious problem, and discover that you have Crossed the Line into Enemy Territory.

  8. Look at her eyes, Neo. They are vacant.
For her “pains” she recanted. To keep her job, presumably.
She is a highly-placed and highly-paid Apple exec. Whose authority is Diversity.
She is a prostitute. She is not brave, nor is she principled.

  9. Diversity is a frivolous concept with no serious intellectual support. I don’t see how these people can promote diversity and keep a straight face.

  10. Frog:

You haven’t a clue about this woman—or why she was hired.

Of course, perhaps you are suggesting that every black person in a high position is a diversity hire. If that’s what you in fact are suggesting, that would be wrong, and (dare I say it?) racist, in the true meaning of the word. Yes, diversity hires exist. But there are plenty of capable people of all races everywhere.

I see nothing unusual about her eyes, and they certainly don’t look dead to me in any way.

  11. Diversity of color, sex, ethnicity, etc., denies individual dignity (i.e. “content of character”), and is a not so covert form of racism, sexism, bigotry, etc.

    Chelsea Clinton and I

Two is greater than one. Diversity.
